Privacy Policy

Hire With Near (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect when you use our careers site at jobs.hirewithnear.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights.

What we collect

• Account information, such as your email, name, phone number and profile picture, handled through our authentication provider.
• Profile and resume data, including the resume you upload and the work history, education, skills, location and compensation expectations taken from it or entered by you.
• Application content, including the roles you apply to and save, your answers to application questions, and any optional spoken answer you record.
• Usage information, such as pages visited, search queries, approximate location derived from your IP address and basic device and browser details.

Why we collect it

• To create and maintain your account.
• To match you with relevant roles at our client companies and to evaluate and present your candidacy.
• To communicate with you about your applications and about roles that may fit your profile.
• To operate, secure and improve the platform, and to meet our legal obligations.

Automated processing

For some roles we use AI to read your resume, structure your profile, ask follow-up questions about your experience and assess how well an application fits the role, including any short spoken answer you choose to record. That assessment can affect whether an application moves forward. It is not the only factor, and no hiring decision is final without human involvement. You can ask us to review an outcome, or ask that your application be handled without the AI assessment, by writing to the address below.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with:

• Our recruiting team, who review candidates and manage the hiring process in our applicant tracking system.
• The client company you apply to, which receives the information needed to consider your candidacy and becomes an independent controller of that data.
• Service providers that operate the platform on our behalf, covering authentication, database and file storage, hosting, AI processing, email delivery and analytics. They may only use the data to provide those services to us.

International transfers

We work with candidates in Latin America and client companies elsewhere, so your data may be stored or processed in other countries, including the United States. When it is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards for that transfer.

Retention

We keep your profile and application history while your account is active so you can reuse it for future roles. Recordings made during an application are stored securely and kept only as long as they are needed to assess and document that application. Inactive accounts are anonymized after 24 months. If you delete your account, we remove your data from the portal within 30 days, except where we must keep records to meet a legal obligation. Information already shared with a client company is governed by that company's own policy.

Security

Access to candidate data is restricted to people who need it, files are held in private storage, and traffic to the site is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from the account page. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Cookies

We use cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand aggregate usage. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

Children

The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision, and material changes get an in-app notice.
