About Us
At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About Our Client
Our client is a family-owned, multi-generational real estate developer of luxury apartments and mixed-use communities in South Florida. With more than 30 years of experience developing in South Florida and Canada, they take projects from raw land through design, construction, and leasing.
They are looking for a Senior Associate to work directly with the Managing Principal and take on the upfront work behind his projects.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Associate to support the Managing Principal across his projects. Your first focus will be getting his email under control, building a buffer so he knows what is going on without being pulled in. From there, you will handle the research and prep work that moves each project forward.
Projects run for about five years, from site search to design, construction, and leasing, so the work changes with each phase. One week you may build a list of active brokers; the next you may gather site plans for comparable buildings or support a financial review of an asset. A real estate background is not needed, as the tasks can be learned.
The ideal candidate is sharp, meticulous, and resourceful, and good with digital and AI tools. You find the right information, organize it, and present it clearly, and you have no ego about taking on small admin tasks like booking a flight or helping plan a holiday party.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Managing Principal’s inbox, flag what needs his attention, and keep him informed without distractions
- Contact brokers to explain new business initiatives and share site descriptions or mandates
- Build and maintain lists of active brokers and set up alerts to find new site leads
- Research comparable buildings and collect their site plans to support design decisions
- Research local architects and other design professionals and compile information about their work and projects
- Set up projects in Claude and other AI tools and support other research projects
- Support financial reviews of the assets the firm manages
- Summarize research and present it in clear, well-organized documents and folders
- Handle occasional admin tasks, such as booking travel and helping plan company events
What We’re Looking For
- Senior-level professional capability
- Strong research skills: you find information quickly, sift through it, and pull out what matters
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Adobe, and AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT
- Clear communicator who organizes information well and presents it in a simple, useful way
- Smart, meticulous, and detail-oriented, with no ego about taking on a wide variety of tasks
- Fluent English to work with the Managing Principal and brokers; a slight accent is fine
- Ability to provide at least three professional references (two former managers and one peer)
- Familiarity with CoStar (a plus)
- Experience in real estate (a plus, not required)
Perks – What’s in It for You?
- Compensation: $2,500 – $3,000 USD per month
- Fully remote opportunity
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule, with availability to touch base during US Eastern Time (ET) business hours

- US public holidays
- Work directly with the Managing Principal
- Payments made in USD
