Job Description
About Us:
At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About Our Client:
Our client is a US-based e-commerce agency that manages the full marketplace business for consumer brands, covering catalog, content, retail operations, and advertising across Amazon (Seller Central and Vendor Central), Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, and other emerging channels. Their clients span CPG, cosmetics, skincare, apparel, footwear, and handbags, and hire them to operate their channels end to end. The company also runs an AI Agentic Commerce practice, building its own tooling.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Marketplace Account Analyst to handle the day-to-day execution behind a pod of five to seven client brands across Amazon, Walmart, and Target Plus. You’ll report to the Marketplace Account Manager who runs the pod. The Manager owns strategy and the client relationship. You own whether the work actually gets done, on time and correctly. That includes catalog accuracy, account health, inventory, reporting, promotions, and reimbursement recovery.
This is an execution role, and it’s client-facing from the start, which is unusual at this level. You’ll attend client calls, take notes, send action items and weekly reports, and answer routine client questions the same business day. During your first months, your Manager will review client-facing work before it goes out. You’ll also keep Basecamp updated in real time throughout the day, since it’s the client’s window into their account.
The ideal candidate is highly accurate, organized, proactive, and a strong writer. You’ll be expected to know Seller Central, flat files, and Excel from day one, and you’ll build the rest through a structured development plan. This role is the entry point to a clear growth path: Analyst, then Senior Analyst, then Manager.
This is a remote, full-time contractor role aligned with US Eastern business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update listings in Seller Central, Vendor Central, Walmart Seller Center, and Target Plus, including titles, bullets, descriptions, backend terms, and attributes.
- Run bulk updates through flat files (Inventory Loader, Listing Loader, category templates), and set up ASINs and variation families.
- Troubleshoot suppressions, stranded listings, and detail page merges, and monitor for hijackers and unauthorized edits.
- QA all content before it’s published, including A+ Content and Brand Story, and coordinate with designers on content needs.
- Monitor FBA inventory daily, prepare restock recommendations, create inbound shipments, and resolve stranded or unfulfillable inventory.
- Track the Account Health Dashboard daily, open and follow up on support cases, draft Plans of Action, and flag critical risks right away.
- Pull standard reports from Seller Central, Vendor Central, and Brand Analytics, and compile weekly and monthly client reporting.
- Track KPIs and flag anomalies early, and prepare data for MBRs and QBRs.
- Set up and monitor Lightning Deals, coupons, Prime Exclusive Discounts, and Subscribe & Save, and pull post-promotion results.
- File reimbursement claims and support Vendor Central shortage and chargeback disputes, keeping a claims tracker up to date.
- Attend client calls, take notes, share action items, send weekly updates, and answer routine client questions the same business day.
- Keep Basecamp updated in real time, and write and maintain SOPs for recurring work.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1+ years of hands-on Amazon Seller Central experience.
- Hands-on experience creating and submitting flat files.
- Working proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, conditional formatting, and large data exports).
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- A proactive communication style, raising issues as soon as you find them.
- Strong organizational skills and a clear system for managing multiple brands at once.
- Working proficiency with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, or similar), with a habit of checking their output.
- Willingness to complete platform certifications during onboarding.
- Reliable internet and a quiet work environment.
- Experience with Vendor Central (POs, chargebacks, shortages) is a plus.
- Experience with Walmart Seller Center or Target Plus item setup is a plus.
- Experience with Basecamp or a similar project management tool is a plus.
- Experience with Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or DataHawk is a plus.
- Familiarity with Brand Registry, IP complaints, and Transparency is a plus.
- Agency experience managing multiple accounts is a plus.
- Background in CPG, beauty, skincare, apparel, footwear, or accessories is a plus.
- Availability to work full-time aligned with US Eastern business hours.
Perks – What’s in It for You?
- 10 days of PTO per year.
- Remote, full-time contractor position.
- A two-week structured onboarding with no account ownership, followed by a gradual ramp-up.
- A clear career path from Analyst to Senior Analyst to Manager.
- Direct client exposure from your first month.
- Funded platform certifications and access to the company’s AI tools.
- Opportunity to work with recognizable consumer brands across Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
