Job Description
About Us:
At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About Our Client:
Our client is a US-based e-commerce agency that manages the full marketplace business for consumer brands, covering catalog, content, retail operations, and advertising across Amazon (Seller Central and Vendor Central), Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, and other emerging channels. Their clients span CPG, cosmetics, skincare, apparel, footwear, and handbags, and hire them to operate their channels end to end. The company also runs an AI Agentic Commerce practice, building its own tooling for this work.
About the Role:
We are looking for an Advertising Analyst to run day-to-day advertising for a set of client brands across Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, and Target Plus. Your manager sets the strategy and media plan. You make it happen in the platforms by building campaigns, managing bids and budgets, adjusting targeting, and watching pacing. You’ll also be the first person to notice when something isn’t working.
This is an individual contributor role with real ownership and visibility. Beyond running campaigns, you’ll conduct account audits, dig into search term and placement data to find waste and opportunity, and build the analysis and decks your manager presents to client leadership. You’ll work closely with internal retail readiness and design teams, since advertising performance depends on inventory, catalog, and creative quality. The team uses AI tools every day, and you’ll be expected to use them too.
The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning decisions. This role is a clear path to account and strategy ownership, and the company promotes the analysts who do it well.
This is a remote, full-time contractor role aligned with US business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, launch, and manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP campaigns, plus their Walmart Connect and Target Roundel equivalents.
- Manage bids, budgets, negatives, placement modifiers, and dayparting against agreed targets, and flag pacing risks early.
- Research and build keyword and product targeting sets, mine search term reports for opportunity and wasted spend, and keep negative structures clean.
- Support audience building and testing in Amazon DSP.
- Analyze search term, placement, product-level, and business reports, and turn findings into clear recommendations.
- Run structured audits on new and existing accounts (campaign architecture, targeting overlap, budget allocation, wasted spend, missed placements) and write up actionable findings.
- Build client reporting and prepare the analysis and decks for quarterly and annual business reviews.
- Use AI tools to speed up analysis, bulk file preparation, keyword processing, and documentation, and help improve team workflows.
- Partner with internal teams on retail readiness and creative, and raise the inventory, catalog, pricing, or page-quality issues that advertising can’t fix on its own.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building, managing, and optimizing Amazon advertising campaigns.
- Hands-on experience managing Amazon DSP campaigns, not just Sponsored Ads.
- Amazon Ads certifications in Sponsored Ads and Programmatic Solutions (formerly DSP).
- Strong analytical skills, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to build your own analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail in bulk uploads, naming conventions, and negative keyword management.
- Intellectual curiosity and a drive to understand why performance changed, not just that it did.
- Proficiency with AI tools and AI-assisted workflows, along with the habit of checking their output.
- Walmart Sponsored Ads and Walmart DSP certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Walmart Connect and/or Target Roundel is a plus.
- Experience with Meta and TikTok ads (with certifications) is a plus.
- Exposure to SQL, Looker Studio, or Amazon Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Agency or multi-brand experience across categories is a plus.
- Familiarity with retail fundamentals (Buy Box, inventory health, catalog integrity, promotions) is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Availability to work full-time aligned with US Eastern business hours.
Perks – What’s in It for You?
- 10 days of PTO per year.
- Remote, full-time contractor position.
- Two weeks of protected, structured training before taking on accounts.
- Opportunity to manage advertising for recognizable consumer brands on Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
- A clear growth path into account and strategy leadership.
- Opportunity to work with internal AI tooling within an agency investing in agentic commerce.
