This is a full-time and long-term position as an independent contractor for one of our US-based clients. Candidates in any country in Latin America are encouraged to apply.
This is an
individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, ensuring assumptions are data-driven and well-documented.
- Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), identify risks and opportunities, and recommend cost improvement actions.
- Build financial models and P&Ls to evaluate new initiatives and product launches in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with operations to review manufacturing costs and validate standards vs. actuals.
- Work with marketing to develop and track forecasts, analyzing spend effectiveness and ROI.
- Provide variance analysis of monthly results (volume, mix, price, rate, efficiency) with actionable insights.
- Conduct product and customer profitability analysis and develop KPI dashboards.
- Streamline, automate, and enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting systems.
- Deliver ad hoc financial reporting and decision support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of FP&A experience, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Background at a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company.
- Advanced Excel skills (testing may be required).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g. SAP, NetSuite).
- Familiarity with financial planning tools (Adaptive, Anaplan, Planful) and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with AI-driven modeling and automation for forecasting and variance analysis is a plus.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Advanced certifications (MBA, CFA, CPA) preferred.
