At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company:
Our client is a global advertising and media company specializing in programmatic and omnichannel media, with a managed-service approach. Their Strategy team supports sales and new business by building the strategy, narrative and client-facing materials behind pitches and proposals.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Strategy Associate Director to lead the strategic direction of complex programmatic and omnichannel opportunities. This is a new position on a growing team. You will own large custom proposals and pitch narratives while staying hands-on in creating strategy and deliverables yourself, and you will raise the quality of the work around you. This is an individual contributor role with no formal people management. You will report to the Group Director and act as a senior strategic partner to Growth, Planning and Client Services.
You Will:
Lead the strategic direction for complex programmatic and omnichannel opportunities across the pod.
Own large custom proposals and pitch narratives, including structure, differentiation, strategic point of view and final client-ready storytelling.
Provide confident recommendations when the brief or stakeholder input is ambiguous.
Support senior client conversations, RFP presentations, QBRs and educational sessions when needed.
Identify growth opportunities, including new solutions, expanded channel approaches and more effective use of audience or measurement capabilities.
Mentor Strategy Managers and improve quality through feedback, coaching, reusable frameworks and better workflows.
Stay current on programmatic, omnichannel, audience, measurement, AI and broader advertising trends and turn them into practical points of view.
About You:
Your Background:
Approximately 6-9 years of highly relevant experience, with current or recent hands-on strategy creation.
Deep agency or managed-service strategy experience, including substantial pre-sales and pitch ownership.
A portfolio of sophisticated client-facing decks with a clear strategic narrative and differentiated recommendation.
Proven ownership of complex RFPs and custom proposals, not only planning inputs or post-sale strategy.
Strong stakeholder presence: you can lead calls, defend recommendations, handle objections and work with demanding personalities.
Strong research and synthesis across audiences, categories, competitors, markets and media behavior.
Broad understanding of programmatic platforms and omnichannel media planning.
Experience mentoring strategists or raising the quality of work across a team while remaining hands-on.
Strong professional English and the ability to work effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
A clear strategic point of view, not simply more years of planning or campaign management.
Nice to Have:
US-market experience. If absent, substantial international work, exposure to global clients and familiarity with major global DSPs and agency processes.
Planning experience.
Experience using AI in strategy workflows.
Client-facing exposure. It is a plus but not required, since the US team handles most direct client communication.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: 5,000-6,000 USD/month, depending on experience.
Paid time off: 15 days annually + US Holidays
Full-time, Contractor role.
