About the Company:
Our client, Rankings.io, is an award-winning marketing agency that helps elite law firms grow through search engine marketing, from campaign builds and technical optimization to keyword strategy across Google, Microsoft, and emerging search channels. Beyond its agency work, founder and CEO Chris Dreyer leads the Personal Injury Mastermind (PIM) brand, which includes a podcast, a magazine, and PIMCON, its flagship industry conference. As the company develops more original shows and expands its family of brands, video is becoming a central part of how they build audiences, and they are investing in the creative systems and team to support that growth.
About the Role:
We're looking for a Sr. Video Editor & Motion Designer (AI) who is a storyteller first and an AI-native creator by default. You'll edit video for social media, podcasts, paid campaigns, events, and brand storytelling, working with the Creative Manager and the creative, content, and marketing teams to turn briefs into work that stops the scroll and keeps people watching. This is a creative ownership role, not an editing queue: you'll help set the creative standard, build how the team works, and shape what their video looks like as they scale. This role requires someone who is independent, organized, and confident making creative calls, takes initiative in the face of ambiguity, and delivers high-quality results even when challenges arise.
You Will:
- Edit compelling video for social media, podcasts, paid campaigns, service launches, events, and brand storytelling.
- Create motion graphics, animated typography, and visual sequences that strengthen the story.
- Use AI to generate and refine imagery, footage, backgrounds, and other creative assets.
- Combine original footage, AI-generated visuals, sound, and motion design into cohesive finished work.
- Turn longer recordings, interviews, podcasts, and webinars into focused short-form content with strong hooks, pacing, and clear messaging.
- Build repeatable workflows that increase production capacity while keeping visual quality and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with the creative, content, and marketing teams to translate briefs into effective video.
About You:
Your Background:
- 8+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion graphics, or visual design, with AI as a core part of your creative workflow.
- A portfolio with 3 to 5 work examples showing your editing, motion, and AI-driven work.
- Strong command of composition, typography, pacing, color, animation, and sound.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, plus experience with Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Meaningful experience using AI throughout production, well beyond basic prompting or automated captions.
- Hands-on experience with ComfyUI or comparable visual generation workflows.
- Experience using Claude or similar tools for concept development, scripting, workflow support, or automation.
- Ability to refine generated content, resolve visual inconsistencies, and make intentional creative decisions.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and availability to collaborate during U.S. business hours.
- Independence, organization, and the ability to manage feedback and deadlines while owning the final result.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other generative video tools (Runway, Kling, or similar).
- Background in B2B, legal, or professional services marketing.
- Experience repurposing podcasts and webinars into short-form content at scale.
- Experience helping build a creative team's standards, templates, or production systems.
Technology and Security Requirement:
- You must install Huntress, an endpoint security tool, on the computer used to access company systems. It is configured for security detection and alerting only, does not access personal files or data, and cannot be used by IT to remotely view or control your device.
