About Us:
At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Role:
Join our US client on their mission to help brands build genuine, lasting relationships with their customers. We are looking for a Director, Sales Process & Deal Desk, a highly analytical, process-minded leader responsible for the deal desk, commercial workflows, and analytics at the intersection of deal governance and system and process design.
This role leads a team of two Deal Desk Associates. You will leverage your experience in deal desk operations, process improvement, financial and operational modeling, change management, and executive-ready communication to drive operational rigor and ensure leadership can make decisions with confidence. This role reports to the VP of Revenue Operations and partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Services, Sales, and the Product organization to serve as the primary owner for the commercial workflows, automations, and reporting that bring company strategy to life at scale.
Note: This is a remote role where you would be hired as an employee through an EOR.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Desk Leadership & Commercial Governance
Lead, coach, and develop a team of two Deal Desk Associates, setting priorities, service levels, and quality standards for deal review, quote and contract support, and approvals.
Own day-to-day deal desk operations for New Business and Existing Business, ensuring deals are structured consistently, reviewed quickly, and compliant with approved commercial policies.
Partner with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Sales to ensure consistent commercial structures across deals, and that deal desk processes remain clear, scalable, and enforceable.
Administer discount guardrails and approval workflows, escalating non-standard terms with clear context on revenue, margin, and risk.
Partner with the Product organization to operationalize pricing and packaging changes in Salesforce, quoting, contracts, and reporting so GTM teams adopt them consistently.
Build and maintain deal desk playbooks, documentation, and enablement so Sales teams know how to structure and submit deals.
End-of-Month (EOM), Quarter, and Close Partner
Act as a business partner to Finance and FP&A for EOM and quarter-end close, defining what “good” looks like for data completeness and operational readiness before revenue is finalized.
Maintain and evolve EOM trackers and reconciliation tools used to bridge Salesforce, Finance systems, and forecasting models.
Proactively identify data quality issues or structural gaps that could impact revenue reporting, cohort analysis, or churn metrics, leading cross-functional efforts to remediate root causes.
Client Evaluation & Portfolio Performance Analytics
Own and refine Client Evaluation Trackers and other frameworks that measure account health, evaluation outcomes, and renewal likelihood, with a strong emphasis on clear, board-ready metrics.
Partner with Product Strategy, CS, and AEs to define the right inputs, thresholds, and segmentation to distinguish structural from executional performance issues.
Build simple, intuitive dashboards that translate complex performance data into actionable insights for GTM leadership.
Revenue Data Hygiene, Salesforce Architecture & Process Design
Partner with RevOps Systems and Data teams as the business owner for renewal, deal, and post-sale data models in Salesforce.
Define data standards and taxonomies for key commercial fields and ensure alignment with how Finance, FP&A, and leadership consume reports.
Translate strategic requirements into clear specifications for automation, validation rules, and workflows that reduce manual effort and risk.
Vendor and Shortcode Operations
Support the team that owns vendor and shortcode lifecycle relationships by designing and maintaining the internal workflows, documentation, and reporting that track migrations, cancellations, and related operational steps.
Ensure deal structures and vendor-related changes are accurately reflected in Salesforce and downstream reporting, in partnership with Systems and Data teams.
What We're Looking For:
7+ years of experience in deal desk, revenue operations, sales operations, corporate/business operations, or management consulting with a strong analytical and process focus.
2+ years of people management experience, ideally leading deal desk or operations analysts or associates.
Hands-on deal desk experience in a B2B SaaS or subscription business, including deal structuring, quote-to-cash, contract review, and approval workflows.
Proven track record of building financial or operational models that inform senior-level decisions (e.g., deal economics, ROI, portfolio performance, headcount/capacity planning, services economics).
Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, FP&A, Legal, Professional Services, and Product teams; able to navigate competing priorities and influence without formal authority.
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, with comfort in scenario analysis, sensitivity tables, and executive-ready outputs.
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM (CPQ experience a plus), with the ability to map commercial logic into data structures and workflows.
Familiarity with BI and documentation tools (e.g., Looker, Confluence) and experience translating analyses into scalable reporting assets.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex issues into crisp, structured recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments, set structure where none exists, and drive initiatives from problem definition through execution.
Proficient English level.
Perks – What's in It for You?
Competitive compensation in US dollars. Please note that the final salary offer may vary based on the candidate's seniority, specific skill set, and performance throughout the evaluation and interview process.
Excellent and dynamic work environment.
Career development opportunities.
Fully remote role with complete local employee benefits through an EOR.
