At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
Our client is an innovative company in cellular and internet connectivity with nearly 20 years of experience, helping consumers and small businesses get reliable connectivity through antennas, signal boosters, and a premium managed internet service that bonds multiple connections for reliability. They work as a global team across 16 countries to create meaningful impact. With innovation and collaboration at their core, they are building new products for work-from-home professionals and large families who cannot afford to lose their connection.
We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager who combines strategic thinking with strong creative taste and hands-on execution. You'll build the distribution strategy for the company's newer products, starting with its premium managed internet service, and collaborate with the product managers, the content and SEO specialist, and the creative designer to turn that strategy into campaigns, pages, and launches. This is a senior individual contributor role on the Product team, reporting to the VP of Product. In the first six months, expect roughly 60% distribution strategy and 40% performance marketing and third-party product work, with about 90% of the work focused on direct-to-consumer. This role requires someone who is proactive and resourceful, takes initiative in the face of ambiguity, and delivers high-quality results even when challenges arise.
Build the distribution strategy for the company's products: define who each product is for, how those customers think about the problem, what they compare it to, and where to reach them. Start with the premium managed internet service.
Own positioning, offers, messaging, channel experiments, marketplaces, and launch plans, and help the private cellular network products find their first customers.
Set strategy and budgets for Google, Meta, and Amazon ads, direct the email program, and build landing pages with AI tools. You are accountable for the results.
Brief and judge creative, and give precise, specific feedback to the creative designer, writers, and agencies. Run ad accounts directly where there is no agency.
Grow the third-party product business: decide which vendors and products to carry, where to sell them, and what to market actively, and build real relationships with vendors.
Work with the product managers and the junior PM to turn customer findings into decisions on positioning, pricing, packaging, onboarding, and features.
Direct the work of the product managers, the content and SEO specialist, and the creative designer, keeping work moving without formal authority over them.
Your Background:
Roughly 5 to 10 years of experience in product marketing, growth, or product roles, with at least one strong example of taking a niche technical product to market and building its route to customers from scratch, not only improving a channel that already existed.
Hands-on ownership of paid media results on at least one of Google, Meta, or Amazon: strategy, budgets, creative direction, landing pages, and accountability for performance. Performance marketing alone is not the profile.
Excellent creative taste and editorial judgment: you can critique copy and creative, explain what needs to improve, and guide writers, designers, and agencies. You do not need to be a writer or designer yourself.
Wants to work as a senior individual contributor, motivated by the work and the responsibility, with no expectation of building a team.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable in a distributed, English-speaking environment.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and emotionally mature: you take ownership of outcomes and build the tool, page, or report yourself when it does not exist.
Available to overlap with US working hours (Eastern preferred, Pacific also fine) and to travel to the US occasionally.
Nice to Have:
Direct-to-consumer experience (about 90% of the work is B2C), ideally with hardware, or hardware plus a service, sold to consumers.
Responsibility for Amazon or other marketplace strategy.
Commercial experience with third-party products: choosing a range, building vendor relationships, negotiating terms, managing pricing and margins.
Experience in a technical consumer category such as networking, connectivity, power, security, smart home, RV, or marine. Deep cellular or networking knowledge is not needed.
Excellent writing skills.
Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 USD/year (final offer depending on experience and background)
Benefits: 26 days of paid time off per year, fully remote.
