Staff Production Accountant

Our client is a growing, CPA-led accounting and tax advisory firm in the United States. They support small businesses, agencies, and professional services firms through bookkeeping, monthly financial reporting, payroll support, tax strategy, and advisory services.
They are building a strong remote production team to ensure their clients’ financial records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Production Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting production work across a portfolio of U.S.-based clients.
This is a fully remote, back-office role with no direct client-facing responsibilities. You will work closely with the U.S.-based accounting team, who will review your work and manage client communication. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, follows processes carefully, communicates proactively when something is unclear, and takes pride in producing accurate work with minimal rework.
Categorize and record transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple client accounts.
Support bookkeeping cleanup work and correct existing accounting records when needed.
Process payroll for employees and contractors following established procedures.
Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
Support month-end close activities and help maintain accurate financial records.
Communicate clearly with the internal U.S. team regarding progress, questions, blockers, and items requiring review.
Follow internal workflows, documentation, and communication processes using tools such as Slack and ClickUp.
3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Strong, practical experience using QuickBooks Online.
Previous experience working with U.S.-based client books and U.S. accounting processes.
Hands-on experience with bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience working for an outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, CPA, or Client Accounting Services firm.
Experience processing payroll through Gusto or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience using ClickUp, Slack, or similar workflow and communication tools.
Salary: USD 2,200–2,800 per month, depending on experience and seniority.
100% remote, full-time contractor role.
PTO and U.S. holidays according to the client’s policy.
Monday to Friday schedule, aligned with U.S. Eastern Time business hours, with availability during the team’s core collaboration window.
