At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company
Our client offers a shop management software built for independent auto repair shops. The platform brings repair orders, digital inspections, estimates, payments, texting, and AI-powered tools into one place—helping shop owners, service advisors, and technicians save time and run their businesses more efficiently.
They’re early, growing, and already running in real shops. We’re looking for their first sales hire to work directly with the founder and help build the sales function from the ground up.
About the Role
We’re looking for a senior sales professional who can prospect, book appointments, run product demos, and close deals. You’ll start by working closely with the founder, Mario, to learn the product, understand how independent repair shops operate, get familiar with the customer pain points, and shadow his demos and sales approach. As you ramp up, you’ll take increasing ownership of the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through demos, follow-up, and closing.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, talking directly with business owners, and figuring things out in an early-stage environment.
You Will
Prospect independent auto repair shops across the U.S. through outbound calls and email.
Connect with shop owners, managers, and other decision-makers, including navigating gatekeepers.
Qualify prospects based on shop size, current software, workflow, pain points, and buying authority.
Book demos and follow up consistently to ensure prospects attend.
Shadow the founder's demos initially, then begin leading demos with the owner's support as you ramp up.
Develop the ability to confidently explain the product and its value to independent repair shops.
Progress qualified opportunities through the sales process and ultimately close deals independently.
Maintain accurate CRM records and track outreach, appointments, demo attendance, pipeline activity, and closed deals.
Share feedback and insights from shop owners to help improve the product and sales approach.
Help develop and refine cold-call scripts, outreach messaging, qualification frameworks, sales processes, and performance goals.
Learn how independent repair shops operate so you can speak credibly about their day-to-day challenges and needs.
Take increasing ownership of the sales function as the company grows.
