Financial Analyst – FP&A & Data Analytics
Remote (Latin America-based)
Compensation: $3,000–$4,000 USD/month
Full-time
Core tools: Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and large-dataset analysis
At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company:
Our client is a fast-growing U.S.-based company.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst who combines strong FP&A fundamentals with a data-driven, investigative mindset. You’ll work with finance and executive leadership to explain why financial results are changing, connect those results to operational performance, and turn your findings into actionable insights.
This is not a pure data analyst or dashboard-building role. It is also not limited to producing financial reports.
You Will:
Analyze revenue, costs, profitability, P&Ls, and operational performance.
Investigate variances, anomalies, and performance differences across locations to identify underlying drivers and root causes.
Work with large datasets and the company’s data warehouse to answer business questions.
Connect financial results with operational data and identify trends or opportunities that standard reporting may not reveal.
Build financial models, analyses, reports, and clear presentations for finance and executive leadership.
Support ad hoc FP&A and operations projects, using technology and AI tools to accelerate analysis.
Eventually support deeper operational analytics, including equipment optimization.
About You:
Your Background:
4–5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, finance analytics, or a related analytical role.
Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L analysis, revenue and cost drivers, variance analysis, profitability, forecasting, and operational metrics.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with experience finding patterns and anomalies in large datasets.
Proven ability to investigate the why behind results and communicate complex findings as clear, actionable insights.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
Detail-oriented, naturally curious, and able to work independently with high ownership in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
Experience with data warehouses or large-scale datasets.
Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar analytics tools.
Experience using AI tools such as Claude for analysis and investigation.
Experience in retail, multi-location, franchise, or operationally complex businesses, including store- or unit-level performance analysis.
Experience with operational or equipment analytics and supporting executive decisions with data.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $3,000–$4,000 USD/month
Paid time off: 10 days
