About the job
Near helps U.S. companies hire top talent across Latin America. We have a real business, real customers, real recruiters, and a lot of repeated work that still depends too much on individual judgment.
We're hiring a Product Lead to change that. Someone who can set the direction for how our recruiting operation becomes faster, more consistent, and more scalable, and who's technical enough to make it real.
This is a strategy-first seat: think 70% strategy, 30% hands-on, for someone whose foundation is engineering, with real range in design.
What you'll do
Own the product roadmap for Near's recruiting operation, and the reasoning behind it.
Design the end-to-end experience: for the recruiters who use it every day, and the customers who feel the results.
Get in front of recruiters, customers, candidates, sales, and leadership constantly, find the real problem, not just the loudest request.
Spot where AI and automation can take real work off recruiters' plates: intake, sourcing, matching, follow-ups, communication.
Define what success looks like, metrics, ROI, and use them to call the shots on what gets built.
Be the kind of partner engineers want: clear problems, real context, no wasted complexity. Stay close enough to execution that direction and delivery never drift apart.
Turn judgment that today lives only in your best recruiters' heads into something the product itself understands - what makes a candidate strong, which signals predict fit, which searches are at risk.
Decide, out of a huge list of possible bets, which few things are actually worth building next.
Align sales, recruiting, and engineering: different functions, different agendas, behind one roadmap.
Who You Are
IT/engineering background, with real exposure to design.
You have a strong eye for good design and user experience. You can judge a flow, a layout, an interaction, not just spec it.
You think in strategy but you've built things; you know what "shippable" actually means.
You've owned a product from the whiteboard to production, and you can still hold both.
You take messy, real-world workflows and turn them into software people actually want to use.
You've built B2B workflow products, marketplaces, vertical software, or tech-enabled services - this world is familiar, not foreign.
You're excellent at talking to users and finding the real problem underneath the request.
You understand business models and product metrics well enough to make the case for why an investment matters.
You know where modern AI genuinely changes what's possible, and where it doesn't.
You move fast. You don't get sloppy doing it.
Why this seat
You're not maintaining a roadmap; you're writing it, for a product that's still being defined.
Direct line to the CEO. Your judgment carries weight here.
Real recruiters, real customers, real usage - every week, you'll see what your calls actually do.
A business model where better software creates outsized economic leverage, the work you do compounds.
You're taking an existing, working business and turning it into a product-led operating system.
What's in for you
100% remote role
Competitive compensation in USD
Time off: 14 days vacation, US working holidays + 4 local floating holidays, Birthday off
Health insurance refund
