As the company expands into new territories, they are focused on maintaining efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and seamless project execution across different markets.
Join our US client as a Permit Technician / Permit Assistant and play a key role in supporting the successful completion of HVAC and plumbing projects across multiple jurisdictions.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage permitting processes, coordinate inspections, maintain accurate records, and serve as a key point of contact between homeowners, inspectors, and internal teams. This role is ideal for someone with experience in permitting, construction administration, inspections, HVAC, plumbing, or home services who is comfortable managing multiple processes and learning the specific requirements of different counties and municipalities.
As the company continues to expand into new territories, you will play an important role in ensuring projects remain compliant and move forward efficiently.
Note: This is a remote, contractor role.
Pull HVAC and plumbing permits for applicable counties and municipalities where the company performs work.
Notify counties and governing authorities of scheduled work and required project details.
Obtain and manage bonds required for permits and inspections.
Schedule and coordinate inspections with homeowners and local inspectors.
Coordinate and reschedule inspections when project timelines or inspection requirements change.
Manage failed inspections by communicating deficiencies, coordinating corrective actions with internal teams, and scheduling follow-up inspections.
Research and document permitting requirements, inspection processes, and jurisdictional differences across existing and new markets.
Maintain accurate records of permits, inspections, bonds, approvals, and related documentation.
Provide timely updates to internal operational teams regarding permit and inspection status.
Serve as a primary point of contact for permitting-related questions from internal teams, homeowners, inspectors, and other external stakeholders.
Previous experience in permitting, inspections, construction administration, HVAC, plumbing, or home services operations.
Experience managing or coordinating permits and inspections is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with county and municipal permitting processes, or the ability to quickly learn different jurisdictional requirements.
Experience working across multiple counties or jurisdictions is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple permits and inspections simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when managing regulatory documentation and project information.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate corrective actions when issues arise.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to occasionally adjust working hours to accommodate inspection schedules.
Ability to travel and stay overnight when required by program needs.
Proficient English level.
