Our client is a mission-driven performance marketing agency supporting education and nonprofit organizations through paid media, data, and digital marketing services.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Marketing Tracking Specialist to implement, maintain, audit, and troubleshoot web analytics and conversion tracking across a multi-client portfolio. You’ll report to the Data and Analytics Manager and partner with Paid Media and Web Services teams to ensure reliable data collection.
You Will:
Deploy and maintain pixels, tags, scripts, GTM containers, triggers, variables, and data layers.
Implement browser-side and server-side tagging where appropriate.
Connect website activity with platforms including Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.
Configure standard and custom conversion events in GA4 and advertising platforms.
Troubleshoot broken tags, dropped events, data discrepancies, and tracking issues across ad platforms, GA4, websites, and CRMs.
Perform routine tag-health audits and validate events before campaigns launch.
Manage cookie consent banners and consent mode configuration.
Help ensure tracking aligns with GDPR, CCPA, and changing privacy requirements.
Create and maintain tracking documentation, naming conventions, and QA checklists.
Translate business requirements into functional tracking solutions.
About You:
Your Background:
3+ years of hands-on tracking or web analytics experience in a marketing or agency environment.
Strong GTM experience, including containers, triggers, variables, data layers, and server-side tagging.
Practical experience deploying and troubleshooting conversion tracking across major ad platforms.
Working knowledge of pixels and Conversion APIs, including Meta CAPI.
Hands-on GA4 experience, including event configuration, key events, and DebugView.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS selectors, and basic JavaScript.
Experience using GTM Preview, browser developer tools, Inspect Element, and the Network tab.
Understanding of tracking-related privacy requirements and consent management.
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort investigating root causes.
Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Education marketing experience.
Experience working with multi-client agency environments.
Interest in using AI or LLM tools for tracking audits, documentation, data-layer validation, or troubleshooting.
Familiarity with privacy-first measurement and conversion modeling.
