Our client is a mission-driven performance marketing agency supporting education and nonprofit organizations through paid media, data, and digital marketing services.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain the data pipelines, warehouse models, transformations, and reporting-layer infrastructure that power agency analytics. You’ll report to the Data and Analytics Manager and support a multi-client environment spanning paid media platforms, CRMs, and reporting tools.
You Will:
Build and maintain API pipelines from paid media platforms into Adverity.
Connect and maintain CRM data flows from Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot, and similar systems.
Develop custom Python connectors for unsupported data sources.
Design scalable end-to-end pipelines from source systems through dashboards.
Manage raw and processed data in Google BigQuery.
Create efficient schemas, transformation models, partitioning, clustering, and storage strategies.
Build and maintain modular, documented, version-controlled SQL pipelines using dbt or Dataform.
Standardize naming conventions and metric definitions across platforms and clients.
Create data views optimized for Looker Studio dashboards and automated Google Sheets reports.
Monitor pipeline health, investigate API breaks, reduce data latency, and resolve data discrepancies.
Implement testing and data-validation frameworks to identify issues before they affect reporting.
Maintain strong data segregation across multiple client environments.
About You:
Your Background:
5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in a marketing or agency environment.
Strong experience with Adverity or comparable ETL platforms such as Fivetran, Supermetrics, or Funnel.
Intermediate to advanced SQL and strong BigQuery experience.
Expertise in dbt or Dataform for modular, version-controlled transformation pipelines.
Strong Python skills for APIs, connectors, and automation.
Experience with CRM integrations, including Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
Understanding of paid media metrics and platform schemas, including ROAS, CPA, and CAC.
Experience optimizing datasets and views for Looker Studio performance.
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
Education marketing experience.
Experience with CI/CD workflows, GitHub Actions, automated testing, and data quality monitoring.
Experience with AI/ML models, anomaly detection, or generative AI APIs in data workflows.
Experience supporting multi-client data environments.
