Our client is a boutique business law firm in Houston, Texas, serving closely held companies and their owners as outside general counsel and in M&A, commercial contracts, real estate, tax, and estate planning. The firm is in a growth phase and runs on a structured operating system with clear roles, weekly scorecards, and documented processes.
We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to serve as a right-hand partner to an attorney and support the firm’s growth. This role is primarily executive support, with occasional personal coordination tasks.
You’ll help manage priorities, keep business development activity moving, and ensure important administrative work is handled efficiently.
Manage the attorney’s calendar, inbox, and daily priorities.
Coordinate business development follow-ups and meetings.
Support time-capture accountability and billing-related workflows.
Draft and manage professional email communication with clients and external contacts.
Conduct regular check-ins with the attorney to prioritize urgent matters.
Coordinate occasional personal tasks, primarily logistical in nature.
Use Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and LeanLaw in day-to-day work.
Help improve administrative processes as the firm grows.
4+ years of Executive Assistant or similar experience.
Experience managing calendars, inboxes, scheduling, follow-ups, and executive priorities.
Strong written English and professional business etiquette.
Comfortable communicating respectfully with clients on behalf of an attorney.
Proactive, organized, confident, and able to work closely with an executive.
Able to learn new systems and adapt to evolving processes.
Experience supporting partner-level attorneys at a law firm.
Experience in transactional law, commercial contracts, real estate, or professional services.
Experience supporting consultants, accountants, or other professional-services leaders.
Familiarity with LeanLaw or similar legal billing platforms.
Experience building or improving SOPs and administrative processes.
Compensation: $2,000-$3,500 USD/month.
10 days of PTO per year, subject to company needs and prior notice.
Sick days as needed.
