About the Client
Our client is a fast-growing, culture-forward marketing and influencer agency working with creators, law firms, doctors, and global brands.
About the Role
We are looking for a part-time Video Editor to support our full-time editor and help the team stay ahead of content demands.
Schedule: ~20 hours/week, flexible and self-directed across 3-4 consecutive days including one weekend day (e.g., Sunday through Wednesday).
Responsibilities:

Edit short-form content across platforms
- TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts
- Format content for each platform (4:5, 9:16, 16:9)
- Add captions, b-roll, and basic transitions
- Use tools like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or Final Cut

Understand what drives retention on social
- Strong grasp of what makes people stop scrolling in the first few seconds
- Edit to maintain viewer retention throughout the video, not just a strong hook

Understand context and make independent editorial decisions
- Watch and understand raw footage/audio to grasp the gist of the content
- Make ad hoc creative decisions based on that context, without needing every instruction spelled out

Manage your own workload and deadlines
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple edits independently
- Help the team catch up on backlogged content, particularly content that comes in over the weekend
Skills:
- Strong hands-on video editing experience for short-form content (Premiere, CapCut, or Final Cut)
- Strong understanding of social media performance and platform-specific content adaptation
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple deliverables with minimal supervision
- Strong English comprehension (written and spoken), with the ability to understand context and nuance, not just fluency
