At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company:
Our client is a New York-based technology company that helps families navigate estate settlement after the death of a loved one, while supporting attorneys working alongside them. The company simplifies a process that often involves months of paperwork, deadlines, and phone calls during an already difficult time.
The team is fast-moving, collaborative, and global. Its work must feel warm and clear for grieving families, precise for attorneys, and trustworthy enough to handle highly sensitive personal and financial information.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Visual Web Designer to own the visual layer of everything the outside world sees from the company. You’ll create conversion-focused landing pages, sales and marketing collateral, email and campaign assets, and polished visual moments within the product.
This is not a product design or UX research role. You’ll focus on high-quality visual design, layout, typography, brand consistency, and web execution. You should have strong design judgment, an ownership mindset, and the ability to design for a specific audience and business goal—not only for aesthetics.
You Will:
Design and build conversion-optimized landing pages in Figma and Webflow.
Create web pages for families, attorneys, partners, and marketing campaigns.
Produce sales and marketing materials, including decks, one-pagers, brochures, business cards, email graphics, event collateral, and reusable templates.
Create static social media, launch, and digital ad graphics.
Design visual polish for the product, including icons, illustrations, empty states, and confirmation moments.
Help evolve and maintain a scalable brand system across typography, color, components, and templates.
Collaborate with the company’s leadership and product designer through fast, iterative Figma feedback cycles.
Balance strong visual craft with conversion, clarity, trust, and audience needs.
About You:
Your Background:
Strong experience in visual, brand, marketing, or web design.
Advanced Figma skills are required.
Hands-on Webflow experience is required; you must be able to build and publish pages independently.
Portfolio experience designing marketing websites, landing pages, campaigns, or sales enablement materials.
Strong understanding of conversion-focused design and the ability to explain the purpose behind design decisions.
Excellent fundamentals in typography, hierarchy, white space, color, composition, and layout.
Strong written and spoken English.
Self-directed and resourceful, with an ownership mindset and willingness to figure things out independently.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Framer or other no-code/low-code site builders.
Strong illustration or icon-design skills.
Strong experience using AI tools as a creative advantage for ideation, design exploration, production, and iteration.
Ability to use AI efficiently while ensuring final work remains polished, thoughtful, on-brand, and human.
Experience designing for legal, financial, healthcare, or other high-trust audiences.
Experience creating reusable brand systems and templates.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $3,000–4,500 USD/month, depending on experience.
Approximately 10–14 days of PTO annually.
US holidays are generally observed, with flexibility for important local holidays.
