Compensation: $2,000–$2,800 USD/month
Full-time with at least 5 hours of overlap with California business hours, Contractor.

About the Company:
Our client is a California-based mattress manufacturer with approximately $50M in annual revenue and operations across California and Texas. The company manages multiple entities, a broad vendor base, and a hands-on accounting function supporting a growing business.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support end-to-end AP operations across two entities. You’ll manage invoice processing, payment workflows, reconciliations, and recurring payment tasks while working closely with the Controller and accounting team.
You Will:
Process invoices, review approvals, and prepare payments through Ramp.
Manage PO and non-PO invoices, including three-way matching.
Review and apply appropriate GL coding; flag questionable coding when needed.
Support weekly check runs across two entities.
Complete credit card analysis and confirm receipts and supporting documentation are uploaded.
Prepare wire-transfer templates and support recurring payment checklists.
Assist with AP-related month-end close activities and reconciliations.
Export and analyze accounting data in Excel.
Work across approximately 200–300 vendors.
Support broader AP needs beyond a single repetitive workflow.
About You:
Your Background:
Proven hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
Strong understanding of POs, non-PO invoices, three-way matching, GL codes, and invoice processing.
Experience with an ERP system.
Strong Excel skills, including lookups and data analysis.
Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or another tangible-product environment is strongly preferred.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on accounting environment.
Strong English comprehension and communication skills; able to follow fast-paced verbal instructions.
Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow recurring processes consistently.
Demonstrated job stability and tenure; frequent short-term roles are a concern.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Ramp.
Experience supporting month-end close, bank reconciliations, or broader accounting tasks.
Curiosity about using AI tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to improve analysis and efficiency.
Experience working with U.S.-based companies.
Flexibility to align working hours with California time.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $2,000–$2,800 USD/month.
Benefits: 10 days of PTO, 9 U.S. holidays, and flexibility to swap select holidays when appropriate.
