Job Description
About Us:
At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About Our Client
Our client is a U.S.-based e-commerce agency that manages and supports Amazon brands across a variety of consumer product categories, including apparel, skincare, sleepwear, beauty, food, jewelry, and other physical goods.
The company helps its clients improve how their products are positioned and presented on Amazon through product research, competitor analysis, keyword strategy, and listing optimization. Its team operates in a collaborative and flexible environment, using technology and AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and catalog performance across multiple client accounts.
About the Role
Join our client as a Product Researcher and help consumer brands improve their visibility, positioning, and performance on Amazon.
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in Amazon, e-commerce, SEO, product research, or listing optimization. You will research products and competitors, identify relevant keywords, and create or improve Amazon listings across a range of physical consumer goods.
You will collaborate closely with internal team members and the advertising team while managing projects across multiple client accounts. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently without close day-to-day supervision.
This is a remote, full-time contractor role for candidates based in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct product, market, competitor, and keyword research for products sold on Amazon.
Identify the most relevant comparable products and competitors for each client and product category.
Write, update, and optimize Amazon product listings to improve discoverability and conversion.
Research relevant keywords and incorporate them naturally into titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend content.
Analyze how product positioning, content, and listing quality may affect organic visibility and advertising performance.
Use AI tools to support research and content development while independently validating the accuracy and relevance of the output.
Review and improve existing listings as products, consumer behavior, market conditions, and performance change.
Work across multiple Amazon brands, client accounts, and consumer product categories.
Collaborate with internal team members and the advertising team to align product research, listings, and campaign priorities.
Manage assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities through Teamwork and other internal tools.
What We’re Looking For
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Amazon, e-commerce, SEO, product research, competitor analysis, or listing optimization.
Hands-on experience conducting product research or optimizing listings for Amazon or another major e-commerce marketplace.
Experience working with physical consumer products rather than software or service-based businesses.
Strong understanding of how product listings, keywords, and content affect Amazon discoverability and advertising performance.
Ability to identify relevant competitors and comparable products using independent judgment rather than relying exclusively on automated tools.
Experience with keyword research, competitor analysis, Amazon SEO, or e-commerce content optimization.
Comfort using AI tools to support research and listing development, with the ability to verify and improve AI-generated work.
Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage several priorities and client accounts while consistently producing accurate, high-quality work.
Self-directed, proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a flat team structure without a direct manager.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Spanish proficiency is preferred for collaboration and training with internal team members.
Nice to Have
Previous experience working at an e-commerce or Amazon-focused agency.
Experience supporting multiple brands or client accounts simultaneously.
Familiarity with categories such as clothing, beauty, skincare, food, jewelry, sleepwear, or similar consumer goods.
Understanding of Amazon PPC and how listing quality can affect advertising performance.
Experience using Teamwork or similar project-management platforms.
Schedule and Work Arrangement
Full-time contractor position.
Remote within Latin America.
40 hours per week.
Flexible Monday-to-Friday schedule completed within the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Tools include Amazon platforms, AI tools, Teamwork, and Jibble.
Perks – What’s in It for You?
Compensation range: $2,000 – $2,300 USD per month.
Please note that the final salary offer may vary based on seniority, specific skill set, and performance throughout the evaluation and interview process.
