About the Role:
We’re looking for a Business Development Researcher to support the company’s new-business efforts through market research, prospect intelligence, CRM hygiene, and opportunity analysis.
You will identify relevant brands, properties, market developments, decision-makers, and commercial opportunities across priority verticals. You will turn research into clear, structured, outreach-ready information that helps the business development team prioritize where to invest time and resources.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. The right candidate will go beyond filling in data by identifying useful commercial insights and recommending opportunities for outreach.
You Will:
- Research target industries, brands, properties, market openings, and expansion activity across global markets.
- Identify key decision-makers, including GMs, CMOs, developers, and other relevant commercial contacts.
- Build and maintain structured prospect databases and outreach-ready target lists.
- Research and flag new business opportunities across priority verticals, including hospitality, beauty, automotive, luxury, and lifestyle.
- Analyze existing CRM and prospect data to identify gaps, inactive accounts, stalled opportunities, and re-engagement opportunities.
- Maintain CRM data accuracy, hygiene, and organization, initially in Excel.
- Support a future CRM migration to Airtable or a similar platform.
- Create clear research briefs and recommendations for the business development team.
- Help identify opportunities within existing client relationships, including brands expanding into new regions or markets.
- Support pipeline reporting, opportunity sizing, and sales operations activities as needed.
About You:
Your Background:
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in business development support, sales operations, market research, CRM operations, revenue operations, or a similar role.
- Strong experience conducting market, company, and prospect research.
- Comfortable identifying decision-makers and finding accurate contact information.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with structured data.
- Experience maintaining CRM data, prospect lists, pipelines, or sales databases.
- Advanced English communication skills; an accent is completely acceptable.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with a London-based team.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently from a brief.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and consistent with repetitive research and data work.
- Commercially curious, with the ability to turn research into actionable recommendations.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to suggest where the business development team should focus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Airtable, or similar CRM platforms.
- Experience supporting CRM migrations, process improvements, or data cleanup projects.
- Background in B2C, FMCG, automotive, hospitality, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, or consumer-brand environments.
- Experience in a marketing, advertising, media, creative, or agency environment.
- Experience with account-based research, lead re-engagement, opportunity sizing, or pipeline reporting.
- Familiarity with identifying whitespace opportunities and expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: $2,500–$3,500 USD/month
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Time zone: Latin America-based candidates preferred; flexibility for overlap with the UK/London.
- Paid time off: 10 days per year.
- Holidays: UK public holidays preferred; US holidays may also be accommodated.
