At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About Our Client
Our client is a growing U.S.-based company managing two businesses within its portfolio. The companies operate in a fast-paced environment and are looking for a creative, organized, and digitally savvy marketing professional to strengthen their online presence.
About the Role
We're looking for a Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to manage the day-to-day digital presence of two companies within our client's portfolio.
This person will own social media execution, content planning and coordination, community engagement, website updates, and organic performance reporting across both companies. The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong organization, communication, and follow-through, and can independently manage recurring responsibilities and deadlines across two distinct companies.
This is a hands-on role, but the focus is primarily on planning, coordination, execution, and digital management rather than being the main content creator or video editor.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day social media presence of both companies across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars for both companies.
- Write captions, schedule and publish content, and ensure all social channels remain active and up to date.
- Maintain a distinct brand voice, audience focus, and visual identity for each company.
- Monitor social media trends, competitors, platform updates, and emerging content opportunities.
- Develop content concepts and coordinate photo and video requests with internal teams and content creators.
- Provide clear direction on messaging, format, style, platform, and deadlines for requested content.
- Review completed content and provide actionable feedback before publication.
- Coordinate the workflow from content requests and raw footage through editing, approval, scheduling, and publication.
- Repurpose completed content appropriately across platforms.
- Maintain organized libraries of content, templates, brand assets, and published materials for both companies.
- Manage routine website updates for both companies, including copy, images, banners, team information, services, promotions, events, forms, and other content.
- Review both websites for outdated information, broken links, formatting issues, and other content-related problems.
- Coordinate with developers or external agencies when website changes require technical support.
- Support email marketing, company announcements, promotions, events, recruiting initiatives, and other digital marketing campaigns.
- Monitor comments, direct messages, mentions, reviews, and audience conversations for both companies, responding or escalating as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to increase engagement with customers, employees, community partners, and relevant industry accounts.
- Monitor organic performance across social channels, including reach, engagement, audience growth, content performance, and website traffic.
- Prepare concise monthly performance reports for each company and provide recommendations based on results.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Marketing Coordinator, Content Creator, and other internal and external partners.
- Proactively communicate progress, missing information, and potential delays while managing responsibilities independently.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, marketing coordination, or a related role.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for businesses or companies.
- Experience managing social media for two or more companies is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English, with excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Hands-on experience with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, platform behavior, and organic content best practices.
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.
- Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative tools.
- Experience managing website content through WordPress or a comparable CMS.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project-management skills.
- Ability to provide clear creative direction and actionable feedback to content creators.
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities, content calendars, and deadlines across two companies.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies or working with international teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with WordPress or similar website platforms.
- Basic understanding of SEO and website content best practices.
- Experience with email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with online reputation management and employer branding.
- Experience in healthcare, home services, retail, or other multi-location businesses.
- Portfolio or examples of business social media accounts, campaigns, or digital content previously managed.
What’s in It for You?

- 100% remote work as an independent contractor.
- Opportunity to manage the digital presence of two U.S. companies.
- Direct impact on social media, digital marketing, and brand growth.
