Our client is a fast-growing U.S.-based e-commerce and distribution company that sells finished goods through Amazon, Walmart, and other online channels. The company works with domestic suppliers and coordinates closely across purchasing, marketplace operations, marketing, and warehouse teams to keep products available and orders moving efficiently.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Purchasing Specialist to support the company’s purchasing and inventory operations.
This is a hands-on, operational role focused on reviewing inventory and sales data, preparing purchasing recommendations, submitting purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. The specialist will complete the analysis and purchasing groundwork, while final buying decisions will follow an internal approval process.
The ideal candidate has experience purchasing finished goods for resale and understands how forecasting, inventory levels, lead times, and margins influence purchasing decisions.
Review sales trends, inventory levels, forecasts, and product performance to determine purchasing needs.
Prepare purchasing recommendations and submit purchase orders after receiving internal approval.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and help prevent stockouts or unnecessary overstock.
Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment.
Coordinate purchasing activities with management, warehouse, marketing, and marketplace teams.
Conduct regular purchasing audits and resolve missing, delayed, or inaccurate orders.
Purchase packaging materials and other supplies required for warehouse operations.
Maintain accurate purchasing information across Excel, the company’s ERP, and internal systems.
At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, buying, procurement, inventory management, or a related function.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with forecasts, margins, percentages, costs, and inventory data.
Understanding of purchase orders, stock management, lead times, vendor coordination, and inventory planning.
Advanced English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and coordinate effectively in a remote environment.
Experience working with Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, or other e-commerce platforms.
Experience purchasing finished goods for resale in e-commerce, retail, wholesale distribution, consumer products, or online marketplaces.
Experience using NetSuite or a comparable ERP system.
Previous experience coordinating with U.S.-based vendors, warehouses, or fulfillment operations.
Monthly compensation of USD 1,700–2,100, depending on experience and seniority.
Full-time, 100% remote contractor position open to candidates based in Latin America.
Flexible working schedule, with preferred availability from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Candidates working primarily in Mountain Time may also be considered.
11 PTO days, company holidays.
Equipment upgrade support after six months.
