About Our Client:
Our client is a financial advisory, legal, and tax firm. Its Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice provides outsourced bookkeeping, financial reporting, and advisory support for a multi-entity, multi-location client base, including many clients in the restaurant and hospitality industry, using cloud accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and Bill.com. The firm is technology-forward, including in its adoption of AI, to help its teams deliver faster and more accurate client service.
About the Role:
Join our US client on their mission to deliver fast, accurate, technology-forward accounting service to their clients. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join their Client Accounting Services (CAS) team and support a portfolio of multi-entity, multi-location clients.

Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including completing financial statements and reconciling all balance sheet accounts and intercompany activity for multi-entity clients.
Perform and review accounts payable, general ledger entries, sales uploads, and bank reconciliations.
Support period-end and month-end close processes and ad hoc projects.
Prepare statements and reports drawing on a variety of resources, and post financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers as appropriate.
Assist in budget control by monitoring budgets and verifying adjustments and transfers.
Trace transactions end to end across accounting systems, investigate and explain variances, and research discrepancies.
Support tax filing requirements and special projects as assigned.
Use AI platforms and firm-approved tools for research support, drafting client and internal communications, and documenting recurring processes.
Proactively communicate with colleagues and clients, respond promptly to inquiries, and escalate issues early.
Participate actively in weekly department meetings and firm activities, and identify and raise process improvement ideas.
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of experience in an accounting-related field.
Minimum of 1 year of QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience.
Sound quality control processes to produce accurate accounting entries.
Intermediate Excel skills, with working familiarity in Word and Outlook.
Working proficiency with AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and a willingness to learn new AI features as they roll out in firm systems (Intacct, Bill.com, QBO).
Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A deadline-oriented, efficiency-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects alongside routine responsibilities.
An inquisitive, independent problem-solver who asks questions and takes initiative.
Proficient English level.
