About the role
Join our US client as an HR Operations Specialist and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day people operations function of a growing healthcare organization.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of US HR practices who can independently manage employee requests, HR processes, benefits administration, recruiting support, onboarding, and employee relations matters.
This is a hands-on, broad-scope role where you will work closely with employees, managers, and internal teams to ensure HR processes run smoothly and employees receive timely and professional support.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable handling sensitive employee matters with discretion. You should be able to navigate day-to-day HR situations independently, prioritize competing requests, and bring a strong service-oriented mindset to the employee experience.
This is a remote, full-time contractor role for a US-based company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and respond to employee questions, requests, and HR-related needs.
- Administer and support employee benefits, including health benefits, 401(k), PTO, and other employee programs.
- Manage HR inboxes and employee requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Support employee relations matters and assist with sensitive HR cases, including ADA accommodations and unemployment claims.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential employee records, documentation, and HR data.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting coordination, hiring, offer processes, onboarding, and employee transitions.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure employees have a smooth and organized experience from offer acceptance through their first days.
- Partner with managers and internal stakeholders to support HR processes, employee needs, and people-related initiatives.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and processes are consistently communicated and followed.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, documentation, and employee support processes.
- Support additional HR projects and operational initiatives as the organization continues to grow.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Operations, HR Manager, People Operations, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience supporting US-based employees and US HR processes.
- Strong working knowledge of employee benefits, including health insurance, PTO, and 401(k) programs.
- Experience handling employee relations matters and supporting HR cases such as ADA accommodations and unemployment claims.
- Experience supporting recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and other employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, benefits, or other HR technology platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow up independently, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential employee information.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and collaborating with distributed teams.
- Proactive, resourceful, and service-oriented approach to supporting employees and internal stakeholders.
