About the Company:
Our client is an international company in the export/mining sector with operations in Lima and Europe. They are growing their global footprint and need a strong accounting professional to support accurate local financial operations.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an Accountant to support the Lima COO with core accounting, treasury, payroll, tax, and limited administrative responsibilities. This is primarily an accounting role; administrative tasks represent approximately 15% of the position.
You’ll work closely with the COO and support a small local office of approximately 15 employees. The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.
You Will:
Prepare financial statements, accounting reports, and supporting documentation.
Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and general accounting processes.
Support payroll administration and help oversee local payroll operations.
Handle local tax-related responsibilities, including SUNAT compliance, VAT refunds, and contingencies.
Use ERP systems to support accounting and administrative processes.
Coordinate with external payroll and accounting providers as needed.
Support limited office administration, including employee onboarding, EPS enrollment, office supplies, and general office coordination.
Collaborate directly with the Lima COO and other international stakeholders.
About You:
Your Background:
5+ years of experience in accounting, treasury, payroll, or related financial operations.
Public Accountant degree preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Experience preparing financial statements and managing cash flow.
Familiarity with payroll administration and local tax processes.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working on-site in Lima, Peru, four days per week.
Proactive, organized, and able to manage both core accounting work and occasional administrative responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Nice to Have:
Experience in the mining, export, or international company environment.
Experience with SUNAT compliance, VAT refunds, and tax contingencies.
Experience bringing payroll administration in-house or working closely with external payroll providers.
Familiarity with local accounting regulations and ERP software.
Willingness to support occasional administrative and office-management tasks.
