As part of their ongoing growth, they are bringing legal content operations in-house and building a team focused on delivering accurate, engaging, and high-performing content for law firm clients across the United States.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Legal Content Editor to join our client's growing team. This role will focus primarily on reviewing, editing, and refining AI-assisted legal content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with client expectations.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional English writing and editing skills with experience working in legal or other high-stakes industries where accuracy is critical. This person should be comfortable working with AI-generated content, possess strong SEO knowledge, and enjoy transforming good content into excellent content at scale.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit high volumes of AI-generated legal content for accuracy, readability, tone, and consistency.
- Fact-check legal information and verify content accuracy before publication.
- Ensure content aligns with client expectations, brand guidelines, and legal marketing best practices.
- Optimize content for SEO and evolving AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) standards.
- Refine content structure, messaging, grammar, and readability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve content quality and workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve AI-assisted content generation processes.
- Maintain quality and consistency across multiple law firm accounts.
- Manage deadlines and content volumes while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Stay informed on legal marketing trends, SEO developments, AI tools, and content best practices.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve content performance and editorial processes.
What We're Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of experience writing and/or editing high-volume content, ideally in legal, legal marketing, healthcare, medical, financial, or other regulated/high-stakes industries.
- Candidates with a legal background, particularly practicing or former attorneys who have transitioned into writing or content roles, are strongly preferred. Experience in legal content or legal marketing is also highly valued.
- Expert-level written English with exceptional grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of U.S. legal concepts and legal marketing principles.
- Experience editing and refining AI-generated content.
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Positive attitude, growth mindset, and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
- Reliable home office setup and stable internet connection.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience working directly for law firms or legal marketing agencies.
- Background in law, legal studies, journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with AI-assisted content creation and editing workflows.
