At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company:
Our client, Vesper, is a founder-led family office and venture-building studio operating a lean portfolio of businesses and early-stage projects across events, hospitality, consumer brands, media, luxury, and Global South-focused opportunities. They work as a fast-moving, high-standard team to turn creative concepts into commercially viable ventures. With innovation and disciplined execution at their core, they are transforming how exploratory ideas—spanning from international Swim Weeks and rum brands to fashion and hospitality ventures—are brought to life.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Special Projects Operator / Manager who combines commercial sharpness with grit, autonomy, and high execution ability. You will own the end-to-end business execution of exploratory ventures and founder-led projects, managing supplier sourcing, negotiations, budgets, contracts, and delivery timelines. This role requires someone who is high-agency, proactive, and commercially instinctive, thrives in ambiguous environments without needing constant direction, and rolls up their sleeves to turn broad visions into concrete results.
You Will:
Turn broad, ambiguous instructions from leadership into structured execution plans, clear milestones, and actionable deliverables.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with manufacturers, suppliers, production partners, and venues across Colombia and Latin America.
Own project budgets, deposit tracking, payment schedules, simple P&Ls, and commercial exposure tracking.
Review basic commercial contracts and vendor agreements to identify financial risks, critical dates, and key negotiation points.
Drive rigorous follow-through across live workstreams (including fashion products, event logistics, and consumer goods) to ensure milestones are met on schedule and within budget.
Build and maintain organized project trackers and documentation in Notion and Google Sheets.
Provide concise, structured written updates and proactive recommendations directly to the Founder and COO.
Conduct occasional project-based travel and on-the-ground support within Colombia for supplier meetings, venue scouting, or shoot coordination.
About You:
Your Background:
4–6+ years of strong, hands-on operational and project execution experience in founder-led businesses, special projects, venture operations, events, consumer goods, luxury, or production.
Proven track record in supplier/vendor sourcing, commercial negotiation, and contract review.
Solid financial literacy with demonstrated experience managing project budgets, quotes, and tracking spreadsheets.
Proficiency in Notion and Excel/Google Sheets for clear documentation and data structuring.
Excellent bilingual communication skills (fluent in both English and Spanish).
High agency and self-motivated — you take full ownership of outcomes and move projects forward without needing to be spoon-fed.
Exceptional comfort with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and rapid decision-making.
Nice to Have:
Based in Bogotá, Colombia with an established local network of suppliers, venues, and production resources.
Direct experience supporting founders, principals, or family office environments.
Familiarity with leveraging AI tools for research, vendor outreach, comparisons, and project tracking.
Background handling logistics or vendor pipelines in hospitality, fashion, swimwear, or beverage industries.
