About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Transaction Specialist to join our client's Accounting & Finance team. In this role, you will support the transaction and commission process from start to finish, serving as a key liaison between Compliance and Commission Processing.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate transaction entry, reconciliation, documentation, and commission-related processing for residential and rental real estate closings. This is a highly detail-oriented, non-agent-facing role where accuracy, accountability, and efficiency are essential.
Note: This is a remote, contractor role.
Key Responsibilities
Process new real estate transactions in Profit Power, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and compliant.
Verify transaction data transferred from SkySlope, including property details, sale price, buyer and seller information, and agent details.
Review final closing figures and reconcile information across SkySlope, Profit Power, and escrow documentation.
Prepare preliminary commission statements and verify splits, bonuses, and deductions before manager approval.
Assist with preparing and distributing Commission Disbursement Authorizations (CDAs) to escrow and title companies.
Track and process Agency Fees, Errors & Omissions (E&O) payments, and related charges.
Collect and validate W-9 forms from cooperating brokers and referral partners while maintaining accurate records.
Coordinate with Compliance and Commission Processing teams to ensure all required documentation is complete before file closure.
Support month-end reconciliations, transaction data audits, and Profit Power reporting.
Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready transaction files while escalating exceptions or irregularities when needed.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in the real estate industry, preferably in transaction coordination, escrow, or accounting.
Experience supporting residential and/or rental real estate transactions and closings.
Proficiency in SkySlope and Profit Power.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Strong data entry, reconciliation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to manage confidential information and maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and follow established workflows.
Reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing processes and priorities.
Experience working in multi-office or luxury brokerage operations is preferred.
Proficient English level.
