About the Role:
We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Lead who combines strong financial analysis skills with a builder mindset. You’ll own core finance and operations workflows, help shape internal financial infrastructure, and work directly with the COO and executive team on both strategic and hands-on initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable moving between detailed execution and high-level analysis in a fast-moving startup environment.
You Will:
Own day-to-day finance operations, including month-end close support, AP/AR tracking, contract renewals, and vendor commitments
Build, maintain, and improve financial models, including budgeting, forecasting, unit economics, and subscription analysis
Prepare investor reporting packages and executive-ready financial summaries
Analyze cloud compute spend, vendor costs, and other operational expenses to support decision-making
Support ad hoc financial and business analysis across a variety of company priorities
Help create structure, visibility, and process across the company’s evolving financial operations
Work closely with the COO as the company’s primary internal finance operator
Take ownership in a lean environment where priorities may shift quickly and no two days look the same
About You:
Your Background:
3–6+ years of experience in FP&A, finance operations, accounting, consulting, or business analysis
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; this role is more analysis-driven than bookkeeping-driven
Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong comfort with data analysis and reporting
Solid accounting fundamentals, including exposure to AP/AR, close processes, and bookkeeping/accounting-adjacent work
Experience in tech, consumer tech, SaaS, startup, or fast-paced digital businesses
Professional or fluent English; candidates may have a slight accent, but must communicate clearly and confidently
Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and presenting structured financial insights
Able to thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and build systems where processes are still evolving
Self-motivated, proactive, and highly resourceful
Happy to be hands-on while also contributing to strategic thinking
Strong ownership mentality and comfort in a one-person finance team setup
Excited by startup pace, variety, and accountability
Curious, thoughtful, and culturally aligned with a lean, high-performing team
Nice to Have:
Background in top consulting firms (e.g. McKinsey, BCG) or Big Four
Experience in consumer tech or other high-growth tech companies
Exposure to subscription metrics such as LTV, CAC, churn, retention, and MRR
Experience analyzing cloud infrastructure spend and vendor pricing
Familiarity with SQL, ClickHouse, or large dataset analysis
Prior startup experience with high ownership and cross-functional scope
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation in USD
PTO: 2 weeks + 10 U.S. holidays
Schedule: 9AM–5PM Pacific Time preferred; some flexibility possible.
