About the Company:
Our client is a fractional CFO firm serving hospitality organizations, primarily private country clubs. They provide finance and accounting support that helps clients access experienced financial leadership and operational expertise.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to own day-to-day accounting work across client accounts. You will work independently within a pod structure, collaborating with the client’s leadership team and CFOs supporting each account. This is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports.
The ideal candidate combines strong accounting judgment with a hands-on approach. You should be comfortable taking ownership of projects, identifying issues in financial information, and delivering reliable work with minimal follow-up.
Note: this is a remote contractor role.
You Will:
Support month-end close processes across client accounts.
Prepare and review financial statements and financial packages.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
Support budgeting, audit preparation, and financial reporting projects.
Review accounts payable workflows and ensure required approvals are in place.
Review financials for accuracy and identify potential discrepancies.
Coordinate with on-site client accounting teams and internal CFOs as needed.
Manage projects independently from start to finish.
About You:
Your Background:
5–7 years of finance and accounting experience.
Strong hands-on accounting background, beyond FP&A or analytics-focused work.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and audit support.
Comfortable working across different accounting systems and adapting quickly to new tools.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong English communication skills in a remote, U.S.-based work environment.
Highly reliable, proactive, organized, and accountable.
Able to work independently, take ownership, and complete projects without repeated follow-up.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues in financial data.
Nice to Have:
Experience in hospitality, private clubs, vacation rentals, or related industries.
Experience working with multiple clients or in a fractional finance environment.
Client-facing experience, including joining team calls or handling occasional emails.
Prior team-management experience.
