About the Company:
Our client is building a modern fractional finance practice that aims to own finance end-to-end for growing businesses. As part of that vision, they are launching an accounting service line to improve data quality and strengthen the finance support they offer clients.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Head of Accounting to build and run the accounting function across multiple clients. You’ll own accounting end-to-end from day one, balancing hands-on execution with sound judgment and business partnership. This role requires someone technically strong, independent, and comfortable building processes while serving several clients at once.
You Will:
Own end-to-end accounting across client accounts.
Handle bookings, month-end close, and controllership responsibilities.
Make technical accounting judgment calls independently.
Partner directly with founders or operators to gather needed information.
Help establish the accounting practice as a scalable service line.
Support better data quality so broader finance work can improve.
About You:
Your Background:
Strong accounting experience with solid US GAAP knowledge.
Able to build amortization schedules, inventory schedules, and handle technical accounting work confidently.
Comfortable owning both hands-on accounting operations and higher-level oversight.
Experience managing multiple clients is strongly preferred.
Strong judgment, critical thinking, and ability to work without handholding.
Business partner mindset and confidence communicating with clients.
Nice to Have:
Experience in agency, freelance, outsourced accounting, or multi-client environments.
CPA-level knowledge or equivalent technical rigor.
Startup or fintech exposure.
