Our client is a US-based accounting services firm specializing in providing outsourced accounting and financial management services to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and growing businesses. With more than two decades of experience in the accounting and IT services industries, the company supports clients with day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic financial services. Their team combines accounting expertise with technology-driven processes to deliver accurate financial information and help clients make better business decisions.

About the Role

Join our US client as an Accountant and become the primary accounting resource for a portfolio of clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on accounting professional who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

You’ll work closely with clients and internal accounting professionals, managing multiple client engagements while ensuring accurate and timely financial information. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to different businesses and accounting environments while working in a technology-driven, client-focused organization.

Note: This is a remote, contractor role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients.

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, payroll, credit card activity, and general ledger transactions.

• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting schedules.

• Complete month-end and year-end close processes according to established deadlines.

• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate posting of financial activity.

• Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.

• Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.

• Communicate with clients regarding accounting transactions, questions, and financial results.

• Maintain organized accounting records and document client-specific procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in accounting, with strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience across the accounting cycle.

• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes and account reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.

• Experience preparing financial statements and recording journal entries.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

• Experience managing multiple clients or accounting engagements is preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, SLI, MSP clients, or outsourced accounting is a plus.

• CPA or CPA-track experience is a plus.

• Proficient English level.
