About the Role:
We’re looking for a Staff Accountant who combines technical mastery with grit and confidence. You’ll manage transactional accounting workflows across multiple business entities, handle day-to-day operational accounting tasks, and collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller to ensure high data integrity. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, solution-oriented, takes initiative in the face of ambiguity, and delivers high-quality results even when challenges arise.
You Will:
Manage day-to-day operational accounting, including full-cycle bookkeeping, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Execute monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, daily bank activity tracking, and cash entries across designated entities.
Process vendor bills, prepare payment runs, enter customer invoices, and follow up on outstanding AR collections.
Assist in month-end close procedures, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger reviews.
Support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data entry tasks with high attention to accuracy.
Maintain compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in documenting daily workflow routines.
About You:
Your Background:
2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, and financial reconciliations.
Practical experience using QuickBooks is required; familiarity with corporate cards/expense management tools (e.g., Ramp) or major ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage) is a plus.
Solid grasp of basic accounting principles, general ledger entries, and bank/credit card reconciliation workflows.
Strong organizational skills with a focus on data accuracy and deadline management.
Fluent English communication skills — comfortable communicating via email and internal communications in a remote team setup.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Currently employed or having minimal employment gaps between recent roles.
Nice to Have:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential or degree in Accounting/Finance.
Familiarity with U.S. GAAP accounting principles and internal controls.
Prior experience working in job costing industries like landscaping, construction, or field service management.
Experience managing multi-entity accounts or pod-based structures.
