Senior UX/UI Designer
Remote (Latin America-based)
Compensation: $4,000–$6,000 USD/month
Full-time, Contractor
Tech Stack: Node.js, Figma, Notion, GitHub
At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company:
Our client is a U.S.-based fintech company operating in the consumer and small business lending space. They build fully online lending experiences and are focused on improving usability, conversion, and customer experience across their digital products. With a lean and fast-moving team, they are investing heavily in product and design to support the next stage of growth.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to own the user experience across two lending brands. This person will lead a major redesign of key borrower journeys, improve funnel performance, and help shape how product decisions are identified, designed, and implemented.
This is not a purely visual design role. We’re looking for someone with strong product thinking who can identify friction points, make thoughtful design decisions, and work closely with engineering to bring solutions to life. You’ll collaborate directly with leadership and play a key role in improving the acquisition funnel, logged-in experience, and overall usability of the platform.
You Will:
Own the UI/UX experience across both brands’ acquisition funnels and logged-in user journeys
Lead a significant redesign of the current user experience, focused on usability, clarity, and conversion
Identify friction points and opportunities for improvement using analytics, business data, and user behavior insights
Drive ongoing A/B testing and funnel optimization efforts
Create high-quality UI/UX solutions that balance user needs with business goals
Work closely with engineering to ensure designs are implemented effectively and with high quality
Clearly communicate the rationale behind design decisions and proposed improvements
Contribute to future website migration or platform evolution initiatives where relevant
About You:
Your Background:
4+ years of experience in UX/UI design, product design, or similar roles
Strong experience designing complex digital experiences, ideally including multi-step flows or high-conversion environments
A clear UI/UX focus; deep product management experience is not required
Ability to identify funnel issues proactively and use data to support design decisions and to explain the reasoning behind specific design choices in a clear and structured way
Experience collaborating closely with engineers and supporting implementation
Strong skills in Figma and experience working in modern product environments
Strong written and spoken English
A proactive, independent, and ownership-driven approach to work
Experience with A/B testing and conversion-focused design
Fintech experience is strongly preferred
Nice to Have:
Experience in North American markets, especially the U.S.; Mexico and Canada are also highly relevant
Familiarity with regulated digital products or compliance-sensitive experiences
Experience with website migration projects or hosted CMS environments
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $4,000–$6,000 USD/month
Unlimited PTO
Direct collaboration with leadership in a fast-moving environment
