They're looking for a Senior Accountant who is excited to go beyond day-to-day accounting and help build the financial infrastructure of a high-growth organization.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a passion for process improvement and financial systems. This role will initially focus on Accounts Receivable, month-end close activities, and supporting the implementation of a new ERP/accounting system, while also serving as a key contributor across the accounting function.

The position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and works closely with the Director of Finance.
What You'll Do
General Accounting
- Prepare and review complex journal entries.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
- Support annual audits and compliance requirements.
Accounts Receivable & Revenue Accounting
- Own and improve Accounts Receivable processes.
- Reconcile lender funding activity and cash receipts.
- Maintain accurate revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
- Support project profitability reporting and margin analysis.
- Analyze gross margins and investigate unusual variances.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement
- Serve as a key contributor during the implementation of a new ERP/accounting system.
- Help design scalable accounting workflows within the ERP.
- Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Develop standardized accounting procedures and documentation.
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Software Development, and Finance to improve financial reporting and data quality.
Financial Analysis
- Analyze monthly financial results and explain significant variances.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support department-level P&Ls and management reporting.
- Develop KPIs that improve operational decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
- Experience managing or supporting Accounts Receivable processes.
- Experience implementing or supporting ERP systems (Business Central, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve.
Preferred Background
- CPA (or international equivalent).
- Experience in solar, construction, manufacturing, renewable energy, distribution, or other project-based industries.
- Experience with Salesforce or integrated ERP environments.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Previous experience building accounting processes or improving financial systems.
