Having helped over 500 businesses generate more than $50M in revenue, WeLevel is continuing to expand its AI capabilities and automation offerings. They're now looking for a Senior AI Automation Engineer to build scalable AI-powered workflows and integrations that directly impact both internal operations and client solutions.
About the Role:
We are looking for a AI Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain AI-powered automation systems that improve business operations and client workflows.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on building production-ready automations using n8n, integrating platforms through APIs, and leveraging LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI technologies.
You'll work closely with the Product Manager to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions, integrating platforms like GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Dialpad, ServiceTitan, and many other third-party systems. This role combines new development with continuous optimization of existing workflows and offers the opportunity to build AI agents, lead generation systems, chatbots, Voice AI solutions, and other automation products for a growing client base.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimize automation workflows using n8n
Develop API integrations between CRMs, databases, AI platforms, communication tools, and internal systems
Build AI-powered workflows using OpenAI API, Claude API, Gemini API, or similar LLM platforms
Design, test, and improve prompts for AI agents, chatbots, and automation workflows
Build integrations with platforms such as GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Dialpad, ServiceTitan, and other client software
Troubleshoot workflow failures, API errors, authentication issues, webhooks, and data synchronization problems
Implement workflow monitoring, logging, alerts, and error-handling processes
Translate manual business processes into scalable automated solutions
Collaborate with the Product Manager and occasionally join client calls to gather requirements and discuss technical solutions
Recommend improvements to automation architecture, tools, and overall AI strategy
Document workflows, integrations, prompt structures, and technical processes clearly
Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve existing systems
What We're Looking For:
Strong hands-on experience building automations with n8n (required)
Strong experience building API integrations
Deep understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP requests, authentication, webhooks, and error handling
Hands-on experience working with OpenAI API, Claude API, Gemini API, or other LLM platforms
Experience building AI-powered workflows, AI agents, chatbots, or automation systems
Strong prompt engineering skills for AI applications
Experience connecting multiple SaaS platforms into reliable end-to-end workflows
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable reading API documentation and implementing integrations independently
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Nice to Have:
Experience with JavaScript, Python, or scripting languages
Experience with Airtable, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, Google Sheets, or similar databases
Familiarity with GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Slack, Notion, ClickUp, Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms
Experience building lead enrichment systems, reporting dashboards, Voice AI, or internal automation tools
Understanding of API rate limits, credential security, data privacy, and workflow monitoring
Startup experience or experience working in fast-paced environments
Passion for AI, automation, and emerging technologies

Compensation: $3,000–$4,000 USD per month (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, aligned with US Central or Pacific business hours
