They are looking for a talented AI Automation Engineer to help transform manual workflows into automated solutions, integrate internal and external systems, and build technology that creates a measurable impact across the business.
About the Role:
We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer (Full Stack & API Integrations) to join our client's team and take ownership of software development initiatives focused on automation, AI integrations, and operational improvements.
This role is ideal for a technically strong and adaptable engineer who enjoys solving business problems, experimenting with new technologies, and building practical solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with full-stack development, API integrations, AI tools, and automation workflows, while also being comfortable collaborating with non-technical teams to understand business needs.
The role will begin with executing on an existing development backlog, but over time, this person will have the opportunity to become a key technical contributor, helping identify new opportunities to improve and automate business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support business operations
- Build internal tools, applications, and features based on operational requirements
- Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party platforms, including REST APIs, webhooks, authentication systems, and data exchanges
- Analyze external APIs and technical documentation to implement reliable integrations
- Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows using AI and software solutions
- Build AI-powered workflows, automation systems, and internal tools to improve operational efficiency
- Integrate AI models, APIs, and tools into existing business processes
- Explore and evaluate new AI technologies and recommend practical business applications
- Improve existing applications, workflows, and spreadsheet-driven processes
- Troubleshoot software issues, integration challenges, and data synchronization problems
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and scalable solutions
- Work closely with operational teams to understand workflows and identify improvement opportunities
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Take ownership of projects from initial idea through implementation and ongoing improvements
- Document technical solutions and development processes
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong full-stack development experience with the ability to work across front-end and back-end systems
- Hands-on experience building and integrating APIs (REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication)
- Experience working with AI tools, AI APIs, LLMs, AI agents, or AI-powered automation solutions
- Experience automating workflows and improving operational processes
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and coding best practices
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies, platforms, and business systems
- Experience working with databases and data-driven applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently research and implement solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience building AI agents or workflow automation bots
- Experience with OpenAI APIs, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI platforms
- Experience integrating multiple third-party platforms
- Experience working with cloud environments and deployment platforms
- Experience in startups or environments where ownership and initiative are highly valued
- Curiosity and willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies
Perks – What's in It for You?
- Compensation: $3,500–$4,000 USD per month (depending on experience and skill set)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, aligned with US Central Time (9:00 AM–5:00 PM CT)
