About the Company:
Our client is a young U.S.-based buyside advisory firm that supports private equity funds in the U.S. throughout their M&A expansion process. The role is within the research team where we help our clients identifying target companies for acquisition, validating investment theses, and conducting market research. The company operates with a small, high-performing team and a dynamic, fast-growth culture. Their Medellín-based research team works closely with their U.S. team and clients to deliver high-value insights across more than 20 industries
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Research Analyst who is curious, analytical, and highly proactive. You’ll support the research team in identifying companies, evaluating industries, and contributing to investment research for private equity clients in the U.S. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning about different business models, working across industries, and solving problems in a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a young and ambitious company.
You Will:
Research and identify companies that match client investment criteria
Support industry research and market validation projects
Analyze business models and industries across a wide range of sectors
Contribute to research that supports acquisition and investment strategies
Work closely with the Medellín-based research team and collaborate with the U.S. team
Help improve processes and contribute ideas in a fast-changing, evolving environment
About You:
Your Background:
Background in finance, economics, administrative engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Interest in private equity, M&A, market research, or financial analysis
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
Comfortable working in a dynamic, in-person team environment
Curious, proactive, and excited to learn across many industries
Able to take initiative and work beyond a narrow job description
Nice to Have:
Exposure to finance, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or research roles
Experience with programming in any language
Experience improving processes or using tools to solve concrete problems
Participation in university investment clubs, research groups, or finance-related extracurriculars
Prior experience in smaller, fast-paced companies
Background in economics, which would add a new perspective to the current team
