At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
Our client is a NYC-based financial technology platform serving the private capital markets. Founded in 2009, the company powers a significant share of the U.S. small and mid-sized business M&A market, connecting private equity firms, corporate acquirers, investment banks, and business owners through an online platform built for a fast-moving, trust-driven industry. The team is lean and high-conviction, building category-defining products for a market that rewards precision and speed.
Join our US client as an AI & Automation Manager, working closely with the Business Operations Lead to build and scale the workflows, automations, and internal tools that power the company's go-to-market operations. This is a hands-on, technical builder role today, with room to grow into shaping the broader roadmap and strategy for AI and automation as the function matures.
Right off the bat, you'll be building in n8n, Zapier, and Claude Code alongside the team's lead automation builder. What sets this role apart from a more junior automation position is exposure to agentic workflows: experience with or strong interest in building AI agents using Python, Claude Code, or similar tools is highly valued here. You'll also bring a level of technical depth that allows you to sanity-check, extend, and troubleshoot systems more independently.
This is a remote, contractor role. Working hours align with US Eastern time, roughly 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility of 1-2 hours on days without scheduled meetings. There are no direct reports initially; management scope may open up over time for candidates interested in that path, but it is not a requirement of the role.
Build, deploy, and improve AI-powered workflows and agents using tools such as n8n, Zapier, Clay, and Claude Code.
Design and build agentic workflows, applying Python or similar scripting where useful to extend automations.
Configure and maintain integrations across Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, and Gong.
Build internal applications, dashboards, and AI-powered tools that reduce manual work across GTM.
Troubleshoot and maintain existing automations to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Partner with the Business Operations Lead to translate ambiguous or recurring business problems into scoped technical solutions.
Communicate clearly with US-based, non-technical stakeholders across the business, including in group settings.
As the role evolves, contribute ideas and input toward the team's automation and AI roadmap.
Experience with or strong interest in building agentic workflows, using tools such as Python, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development platforms.
4+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools. n8n is strongly preferred; familiarity with Zapier, Clay, or Make is a plus.
Working experience with Salesforce (or a comparable CRM) is strongly preferred.
Some exposure to code is expected — candidates do not need to write production code from scratch, but should be comfortable reading, adapting, and reasoning through it. A technical background (e.g., computer science coursework) is a plus but not required.
Comfortable working with structured data, APIs, and webhooks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills — this role requires explaining technical work clearly to US-based, non-technical stakeholders, including in group settings.
Advanced/fluent English proficiency.
Builder mentality with a bias toward shipping practical solutions and learning new tools quickly.
Competitive compensation in US dollars. Please note that the final salary offer may vary based on the candidate's seniority, specific skill set, and performance throughout the evaluation and interview process.
2 weeks of PTO
US holidays
Excellent and dynamic work environment
Career development opportunities; growth into a management role is envisioned.
