As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a Field Recruiting Manager to lead their blue-collar recruiting efforts and help build a high-performing recruitment function.
About the Role
We're looking for a Field Recruiting Manager to lead recruiting efforts for skilled trades and field positions while helping build and improve the company's field recruitment function. This person will be responsible for delivering hiring results, optimizing recruiting processes, and eventually leading a team of recruiters as the organization grows.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record recruiting blue-collar talent in industries such as construction, solar, electrical, HVAC, or field services. They are both a hands-on recruiter and a people leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume hiring environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead recruiting efforts for skilled trades and labor positions, including electricians, installers, technicians, and other field personnel.
- Meet monthly hiring goals of approximately 5–10 field hires while maintaining high hiring quality.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through job boards, referrals, networking, trade schools, and community partnerships.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and prioritize recruiting efforts.
- Improve and standardize recruiting processes for field hiring to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Track recruiting metrics, hiring progress, and pipeline health to ensure hiring targets are achieved.
- Deliver an outstanding candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify hiring challenges and implement effective recruiting strategies.
- Mentor and support assigned recruiters as the team grows.
- Over time, earn ownership of hiring decisions and eventually lead the company's field recruiting team.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience recruiting blue-collar or skilled trades talent.
- Proven track record successfully recruiting for construction, electrical, HVAC, solar, field services, manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Previous experience leading recruiters or mentoring recruiting teams is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success hiring in high-volume recruiting environments.
- Strong sourcing skills across multiple recruiting channels.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to improve recruiting processes while consistently delivering hiring results.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Background
- Experience recruiting electricians, laborers, technicians, installers, or other skilled trades professionals.
- Experience managing or coaching recruiters.
- Experience building recruiting processes for field operations.
- Familiarity with recruiting metrics and hiring performance reporting.
- Experience supporting recruiting across multiple markets or locations.
