About Us
At Near, we help top talent in Latin America find remote roles with US companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
A U.S.-based vacation rental management company that has recently expanded through multiple acquisitions and is building a centralized corporate accounting function to support its continued growth.
We are looking for a Junior Staff Accountant with a strong foundation in bank and credit card reconciliations who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This role will initially focus on reconciliation activities and month-end close support while gradually expanding into broader accounting responsibilities as the company continues integrating newly acquired businesses into its centralized NetSuite environment.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations This is the core of the role. You'll perform regular reconciliations of our bank accounts and corporate card statements — matching transactions to supporting documentation, researching and clearing discrepancies, determining the correct coding, and preparing month-end reconciliations. You'll keep these reconciliations current and organized as a foundational part of the close process.
Expense & Credit Card Coding Support You'll help review the coding and categorization of credit card and expense transactions across our subsidiaries, flagging anything unusual for senior review.
Month-End Close Support You'll assist with basic journal entries and supporting schedules — including accruals and prepaids — under the guidance and review of senior accounting staff.
Subsidiary Integration Support You'll help with data entry and organization tasks as we assess and migrate subsidiary books into our centralized NetSuite environment, working alongside senior team members who will guide the process.

Compensation range: $2,000 - $2,500 USD/month.
Please note that the final salary offer may vary based on the candidate's seniority, specific skill set, and performance throughout the evaluation and interview process.
