Business Immigration Paralegal
Location: Remote (Latin America)
Role Summary
Prepare and draft complex USCIS L-1A and L-1B immigration petitions and Requests for Evidence (RFEs) independently for attorney review. Manage client communications and case tracking to support business immigration processes for key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze immigration documents for validity and status assessment.
Draft complex USCIS L-1A and L-1B petitions, including new office petitions and supporting documentation.
Prepare responses to USCIS Requests for Evidence (RFEs), focusing on L-1 petitions.
Monitor case status using immigration case tracking software.
Coordinate document handling with Client Support Specialists.
Communicate case status and documentation requirements to clients and foreign nationals.
Prioritize workload to meet changing client deadlines.
Identify and report potential case issues to attorneys or senior managers.
Suggest process improvements and assist team members with case preparation.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative remote team environment.
Required Qualifications
1–2+ years as a Business Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions.
Proven experience independently drafting complex USCIS L-1A and L-1B petitions and RFE responses.
Experience with new office L-1 petitions strongly preferred.
Familiarity with NIV matters including H-1B, L-1, TN, and O-1 visas.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience managing multiple active and inactive cases simultaneously.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize effectively.
Proficient with immigration case management software (e.g., Envoy) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Client-focused, empathetic approach with professional remote teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience drafting employment-based green card cases (PERM, I-140, AOS).
