About Near
At Near, we connect top talent in Latin America with exciting remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. Our mission is to create better lives by fostering a remote work culture that transcends borders.
About the Company
Our client is an innovative digital health company operating at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and immersive VR/XR technology. As a VR DME provider, they help patients and clinicians by delivering data-driven therapeutic experiences and remote care. They work as a global team to build a strong data and analytics backbone that powers better clinical outcomes, smarter operations, and scalable growth.
About the Role
We’re looking for an Operations and Business Analyst who combines strong data engineering and analytics skills with business acumen and ownership. You’ll own XRHealth’s data layer (data lake, integrations, and KPIs), build and maintain core analytics infrastructure, and translate complex data into actionable insights for operations, product, and leadership.
A core part of this role is hands-on ownership of Power BI for dashboards and reporting, and deep integration with NetSuite as a key data source for financial and operational data. You will collaborate with operations, product, finance, and commercial stakeholders to create robust KPI dashboards, models, and reports that drive decisions.
This role requires someone highly independent, hands-on, and proactive — comfortable being the primary data owner and able to move from raw data engineering to meaningful analysis and storytelling.
You Will:
- Own and maintain the company’s data lake and core analytics environment, ensuring data is reliable, well-structured, and accessible.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate performance, trends, and exceptions to stakeholders across operations, finance, and leadership.
- Integrate and maintain NetSuite as a primary data source — including data extraction, mapping, transformation, and quality checks — to support financial reporting, operational KPIs, and cross-functional analytics.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion processes from various systems (CRM, marketing, product, billing, clinical/operations tools, NetSuite) into Databricks / DWH.
- Integrate data sources via APIs and other interfaces, handling data mapping, transformation, and quality checks.
- Define, build, and maintain KPIs and metrics that support business, operations, and AI initiatives (patient lifecycle, usage, compliance, operational efficiency, etc.).
- Support AI-related initiatives by ensuring data is structured, labeled, and organized for downstream AI/ML and insight generation.
- Perform in-depth analyses of operations, patient journeys, funnels, and cross-functional workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and impact.
- Partner with operations and business leaders to build business cases, support planning, and inform strategic decisions.
- Troubleshoot data issues end-to-end (from ingestion to dashboard), diagnose root causes, and implement durable fixes.
- Document data models, pipelines, and KPIs so the organization can understand and rely on the analytics layer.
- Work closely with a small, multidisciplinary team, contributing ideas and helping shape processes in a fast-growing environment.
About You
Your Background:
- 3–5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, business operations analytics, or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Power BI — including data modeling, DAX, report design, and stakeholder-facing dashboards.
- Hands-on experience integrating with NetSuite — extracting, transforming, and loading data for reporting and analytics purposes.
- Strong SQL expertise (writing complex queries, building views, optimizing queries).
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar modern data platforms (Spark-based or cloud data warehouses).
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion processes, including working with APIs.
- Comfortable working as a “one-person data team” — handling ingestion, modeling, dashboards, and analysis yourself.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to move from question to data to insight with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical data topics in clear, business-oriented language to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, independent, and proactive — you take full ownership of your domain and follow through to completion.
- Organized and reliable, with strong prioritization and project management skills in a remote, distributed environment.
- Curious and eager to learn, especially around AI and how to leverage it for better analytics and operations.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in healthcare, health tech, or similar regulated/data-sensitive environments.
- Experience with Python or similar languages for data analysis or light scripting.
- Experience with marketing/product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Tag Manager, similar).
- Background in business consulting, FP&A, or operations strategy.
- Prior experience in startups or small teams where you helped build data foundations from scratch.
- Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives (data preparation, feature engineering, or monitoring).
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation in USD
- Contractor role with a full-time schedule aligned to Eastern Time (8:30AM–5:30PM ET).
- Company-provided laptop.
- HIPAA and security training, working with sensitive healthcare data in a high-impact environment.
- PTO & Holidays: 15 days of PTO plus 10 U.S. holidays observed.
- Opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling health tech company and shape its data and AI foundations.
