Our client is a fast-growing US-based flooring company serving residential remodeling projects across the United States. With a team of approximately 40 employees and consistent year-over-year growth, they are expanding their operations to support increasing demand. They pride themselves on operational excellence, strong customer service, and continuous process improvement.
About the role
Join our US client as an Accountant and become a key member of their growing Finance team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—you'll be responsible not only for day-to-day accounting operations but also for analyzing data, building reports, and providing insights that support business decisions.
You'll work closely with company leadership and a senior US-based accounting team member, receiving training while helping improve financial visibility across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and taking ownership of their work.
Note: This is a remote, contractor role.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily accounting transactions, including invoicing, billing, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure accounting data is up to date.
- Extract, analyze, and organize financial data from QuickBooks, RFMS, and other systems.
- Prepare custom reports to support operational and financial decision-making.
- Reconcile financial information and investigate discrepancies when needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other recurring accounting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and increase efficiency through automation and better workflows.
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
- Support leadership with additional accounting, reporting, and financial analysis projects as needed.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role.
- Strong accounting fundamentals and experience with invoicing, billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Experience working with ERP systems (RFMS experience is a plus but not required).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to evolving business needs.
