Email Marketing Developer

About the Role:
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Developer who combines technical execution with ownership and confidence. You’ll build and deploy lifecycle campaigns, develop dynamic email logic, and support CRM operations inside Iterable while collaborating closely with CRM leadership and internal stakeholders. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, highly communicative, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
You Will:
Build and deploy email and SMS campaigns in Iterable, including one-time sends and triggered lifecycle flows
Write and maintain Handlebars logic for dynamic content, conditional messaging, and personalization
Configure and manage journeys in Iterable, including branching logic, audience rules, and triggered automations
QA campaigns and flows for rendering, logic accuracy, link integrity, and audience targeting
Build and update technical email templates using HTML/CSS
Work with segmentation, customer data, event triggers, and flow logic to support campaign execution
Pull and organize campaign performance data from Iterable, Mixpanel, Looker, and Google Sheets
Build recurring reports, dashboards, and presentation materials in Google Slides
Organize and host image assets in AWS
Communicate with internal teams through Slack and Gmail
Support a high-volume seasonal period from October through December, especially during Black Friday and Cyber Monday
About You:
Your Background:
2+ years of experience working in email marketing development, CRM, or lifecycle marketing
Strong experience with Iterable or a comparable platform such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Klaviyo, with direct Iterable experience strongly preferred
Strong proficiency in Handlebars, Liquid, AMPscript, or similar templating and scripting languages
Strong understanding of journey configuration, segmentation, conditional logic, and triggered campaigns
Comfortable using HTML/CSS for template edits including fonts, images, headers, and links
Functional proficiency in Mixpanel, Looker, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
Familiarity with AWS for image hosting and asset management
Excellent communication skills — comfortable in a distributed, English-speaking environment
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take ownership without heavy hand-holding
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and consistent with QA and process execution
Strong judgment about when to work independently and when to ask questions or check in
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexibly during urgent or peak seasonal periods, especially in Q4
Nice to Have:
Experience with Airtable or similar task management tools
Familiarity with additional ESPs such as Braze, HubSpot, or Klaviyo
Experience in ecommerce, subscription businesses, retention marketing, or lifecycle marketing
