About the client
The client is a US-based fractional CFO and outsourced accounting firm that specializes in supporting high-growth direct-to-consumer (DTC) and ecommerce brands. They help companies improve profitability, cash flow visibility, and financial decision-making through bookkeeping, reporting, and strategic finance support. Their environment is fast-paced, highly detail-oriented, and focused on accuracy, speed of execution, and clear financial visibility for scaling businesses. The team works closely with founders and operators to ensure financial data is reliable, timely, and actionable for growth decisions such as inventory planning, marketing spend, and cash flow management.

About the role
We are seeking a Bookkeeper to support end-to-end bookkeeping operations for multiple US-based DTC clients. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, managing AP and AR workflows, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. You will work across multiple client accounts in a high-volume environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and speed are critical. The role requires strong ownership and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, controllers, and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processes including invoice entry into AP systems (e.g., Bill.com and similar platforms)
• Support accounts receivable processes including invoicing and follow-ups when needed
• Monitor and manage shared email inboxes, responding professionally and promptly to vendors and clients
• Perform bank feed management and monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Prepare and post journal entries as required
• Support weekly and month-end close processes, ensuring books are updated on time and accurately
• Track and resolve open items with clients to ensure timely financial reporting
• Communicate directly with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial data and outstanding items
• Manage bookkeeping tasks across multiple clients simultaneously
• Support controller-level workflows to improve efficiency and reduce close cycle time
• Ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and ready for reporting and analysis

Requirements
Must have

• 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable workflows
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Excel for financial tracking and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial data
• Experience working in client-facing or client service environments
• Highly organized with strong ownership and accountability

Nice to have

• Background working with finance, DTC, ecommerce, or consumer product businesses
• Familiarity with Bill.com, Settle, Slack, ClickUp, or similar tools
• Interest in or experience using AI tools to improve workflow efficiency
• Exposure to high-growth or fast-paced US accounting environments (US GAAP)
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines across different clients
