This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, highly discreet, operationally strong, and comfortable owning a broad finance function as the sole internal finance professional.
You Will:
- Oversee NAV and book-of-record processes with third-party fund administrators
- Prepare or review annual U.S. GAAP audited financial statements and drive the audit process
- Review partner capital accounts, management fees, incentive allocations, waterfalls, and expense allocations
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting for the specialty finance company, management company, GP entities, and related entities
- Coordinate with external tax providers on fund tax filings, K-1s, K-3s, withholding, and tax allocation methodologies
- Respond to investor tax questions and support tax reporting needs for U.S., tax-exempt, and non-U.S. investors
- Manage tax filings and coordination for the management company, GP entities, and related LLCs
- Work with outside CPAs on the principal’s personal returns
- Oversee treasury operations, cash forecasting, capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions, and wire approvals
- Manage banking, custody, and prime brokerage relationships
- Maintain internal controls, finance procedures, and identify areas for process improvement
- Produce consolidated personal financial statements, liquidity reports, and net worth reporting for the principal
- Maintain books for personal LLCs, real estate holdings, and direct investments
- Coordinate with advisors, attorneys, insurance brokers, and CPAs on estate planning, gifting, philanthropy, and entity formation
- Support investor onboarding, AML/KYC coordination, DDQs, investor letters, and ad hoc LP requests
- Support compliance filings and partner with leadership on SPVs, side letters, new fund launches, and systems improvements
