Our client is a boutique financial advisory firm based in Austin, Texas, specializing in real estate accounting and advisory services for property owners, investors, and closely held businesses. The firm supports a growing portfolio of real estate clients and is looking to expand its accounting team with a strong Yardi professional.
We are seeking a Yardi Accountant with hands-on experience using Yardi Voyager and a strong background in real estate/property accounting. This person will work closely with a senior Yardi expert and support accounting operations for commercial and residential real estate portfolios.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and has previous experience managing accounting processes for properties, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
Prepare and review bank reconciliations.
Record journal entries and accruals.
Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity.
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
Manage property-level accounting activities within Yardi Voyager.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
Work with property managers and internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues.
Assist with QuickBooks-related accounting tasks when needed.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
3+ years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within real estate or property management environments.
Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyage and QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of:
Bank reconciliations
Journal entries
Accruals
Month-end close
Financial reporting
General ledger accounting
Professional English proficiency (written and verbal).
CPA designation or equivalent.
Experience working with commercial real estate, multifamily, or property management companies.
Exposure to multi-entity accounting structures.
Ability to travel occasionally to Austin, Texas.
Existing U.S. visa or eligibility to obtain one.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, candidates must be available to overlap with U.S. Central Time (Austin, TX) working hours.
